As a moon in scorpio, I often feel things so intensely...I have alot of envy for the signs that I read about that have the reputation for having trouble with thier feeling emotions..they don't "feel" them as strongly as other signs...they "think" their feelings??
I find this concept extreemly hard to grasp.
Does Moon Sag and Moon Gemini actually FEEL less then I do, when they are emotionally wounded...?
Can anyone shine some light on this subject?
Thanks a million :-)

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 5:45 AMfor some reason i seem to be "extr-influenced" by the moon... so ive been doing some work on the quick Lunar transits and have to say that those couple of days when the moon is in Sag. and Gem (and for that matter Aqur. also) it is more like escapism than "not feeling"... they have an easy out... Sag. uses mind expansion to temporarily transcend emotions in order to philosophize about them and Gem. can think there way into ambiguity and chatter away bad feeling for awhile... AquaLuna seems to project their powerful emotions onto humanity and then tries to liberate them...
so i dont think they "FEEL LESS" they just are good at being evasive...

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 7:09 AMThe water moons take things REALLY personally. They, like, "become" whatever is in front of them (particularly Scorpio which is a social sign).
The air or fire moons don't do that. They are "detached". They don't go into the deep nether worlds (heavy emotional stuff), and if you find one who does, it is more as an OBSERVER than anything else.
It IS difficult to understand how someone is feeling less than you, when the Moon in Scorpio is so damn overwhelming. In fact, Scorpio's test is to "let go" and "detach". So they still feel all that stuff, but they don't become attached to it. They let flow down the river. :-) -

Wed, April 2, 2008 - 11:41 AM"The air or fire moons don't do that. They are "detached""
my experience is that Leo Moons are very attached and very personal... we can become fixated drama queens when our charisma is baulked...

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 12:57 PMi'm not sure, one thing i know, i am overwhelmed all the time with feelings, without stopping or taking a break.
well, i think exaggeration is part of me. but my moon is libra. and as you said LeeLee, it is conjunct to pluto.
somehow i completely feel like what people write about scorpio moons suits me.
i know this isn't egsactly the topic, but my mom is a sag.sun/ gem rising, and i have no clue, how can she just shrug her shoulder, and
move on with her thoughts, when something bad happens. it is like she is numbed, and she never in her life got offended. but let me tell you, she can be offending in a funny way, she laughs at people, not obnoxiously, but she has a very sharp irony.
the reason why i write about her, is, that since i was a little girl she kept bugging me, that i am so overly sensitive, and that it is something that is wrong in me.
she says things like "are you still thinking about THAT?" and when i have a heartbreak for example, her advice is "just think about something else, you will feel better"
her moon is aquarious. she is very intellectual, interested in everything, in cultures in travel, reads a lot, loves the news, and soooo many people love her. and she is way prettyer than i ever could be. but what i think is, that she can be very cold, and if she saw that i write this about her, she wouldn't understand me. she wouldn't even consider it worthy to think about it maybe.
i remember, she gave me evrything i wanted in my life, but she has never been a big hugger...i didn't like that, i think that is why i am so needy of that. but even with my libra moon, i would love to feel less. i could proceed in my life much easier. -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Wed, April 2, 2008 - 3:43 PMThis post makes me sad. :(
Obviously, the sign your moon is in is not the only factor dictating emotion and sensitivity. For example, I have Moon in Taurus, which is supposed to be the strongest moon placement, and an indication of stability. Ask anyone who knows me if I am emotionally stable.... heh. They would agree that I'm not!
It's difficult to tell the aspects in your chart without the table, but it looks like you have Venus opposing Pluto, which I happen to know offhand is an emotionally intense aspect... one that has a pain that goes deep. Also, I think maybe Moon conjunct Pluto is an aspect that indicates a lot of emotional intensity as well.
However, I tend to think of Libra as the "softest" air sign. It seems that people I know with a lot of Libra influence/energy seem to be quite sensitive, even though they can be flighty and aloof. But not so much aloof in that Aquarian way that doesn't seem to care, but more being swept away on their own breeze... -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 6:17 AMI think that sagg, gemini, moon experience emotions on the different way than watery moon.
But they do feel things, everybody has his ups and downs on the emotional rollercoster. -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Thu, April 24, 2008 - 1:39 PMThe moon operates the same for everyone we filter it differently through the various signs.
A Gemin or Sag moon feels, it may be expressed differently but none the less all people have feelings -If they are healthy mentally even then appearnaces can be decieivng -what one person observes may be very different from what is really going on inside that person and what they are truly feeling. if we see things only in one way people will seem unfeeling and their need will go unmet because we assume they feel less. I a person with Pisces moon says in my opinion and feelings are this no that statement is untrue , we all express the moon emotionally just in differently ways as well as similar ways. I have seen some very feeling sag and gemini moons. Plus put any moon in a water house 4th, 8th , 12th and see f it doesn't take on a little of the emotional huge of that house as well.

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 12:33 AMEverybody has feelings. Maybe it has more to do with one's ability to channel and express one's feelings in a constructive way. Scorpio is traditionally the sign of the Moon's debilitation, which means the Moon has a bigger challenge expressing itself in Scorpio. Feelings get stuck inside and don't know where to go.

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Fri, April 25, 2008 - 5:53 AMThey just seem to not register emotions in the same way.
Of course I know that everyone has feelings but it just seems that they don't live or operate from the same level I do....I find that interesting.
Thank you , everyone, for your insight....I was/am looking for a better understanding..because I know this can't be true...that they feel less...but it seems they do feel less than me.
I show it and feel it...where they don't even seem to notice that (whatever it was) happened.
I wouldn't change me for the world - I am who I am for a reason- but sometimes I am envious of the ability to float along... -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 9:48 PMsun moon libra
pluto conjunct both
it seems to me that i can tell within myself when i am processingthings
including emotions through the pluto influence or the libra one
(aquarius rising is a part of this also)
I analyze things from both, but sometimes it is an obsessive thing that won't end is more forcing me to feel the feelings more
and sometimes it is analyzing it to put it away and forget about it
I have come to all kinds of methods for dealing with it and I've gotten really good at managing it all
but that intensity of feeling is a lot to deal with and it is hard to imagine it without the "easy" out all the air gives me, personally
At the same time I have a gemini friend who feels things so intensely from the outside wourld that sometimes she can't go into it
and often needs a friend to come and be her filter for her. I don;t have her whole chart but I don't remember any strong water last time and I would have been looking for it
so it varies, of course

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Sat, May 24, 2008 - 10:17 AMI don't think they feel less, but they do tend to intellectualize problems. For example, they read everything they can about the subject that's obsessing them. This is not too difficult to understand, since most people with the Moon in those placements had parents who emphasized education.
The Moon's aspects, too, can amplify how someone feels about things. A Moon/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius will function very much as a Scorpio Moon, for example. If it's in one of the water houses--4, 8, 12--even more so. A Moon/Saturn opposition in Gemini/Sag will probably have a remarkable capacity for endurance, and be able to outlast problems or adversaries.
Also, a great deal depends on things other than the Moon. A romantic obsession might come from a Venus placement and its aspects. Anger might be illustrated much more from the Mars placement and aspects than the Moon.
You get the planetary placements you need for the life you have chosen to live.

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Sun, May 25, 2008 - 9:15 AMwow Michele!! That was spot-on!
I have a 5th house Moon in Gemini opposite Saturn in the 11th - it's a miracle I'm still alive. There have been times where I just wanna throw in the towel but I keep on truckin. It's funny though... you're so right about us reading everything we can about whatever is obsessing us. Also, my father is a teacher and he definitely emphasized education while I was growing up and he still does!
That was a great interpretation Michele! I'm SOOO checking out your site, lol -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 3:21 PMThe Gemini Moon can be highly-strung, judging by expereince I have had dealing with people who have it. It may or may not because of not beong able to deal with what they may be feeling outside their conceptualising of it.
Freud had a Gemini Moon.
So much for Fruedian slips. -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Mon, May 26, 2008 - 7:12 PMNexus, I wouldn't say all Gemini moons are high-strung. Coming from a family where all five of my siblings share a Gemini Moon, I can definitely attest to there being a variety of ease in temperament. -

Re: Moon in Gemini and Sagitarius FEELS LESS????
Tue, May 27, 2008 - 9:51 AMJasmin, I probably did not express very well what I wanted to say, but the person Iam thinking of did have a Moon square Pluto.
How do these diferent Gemini Moons in your family come across as a matter of interest? In my family it was all Aries Moons.....
