I love making toys, clothes, etc and I really want to make my own hoop. Nothing against the awesome Superhoopers. I bought one for my wife and we both love it (Im sure I'll be saving for one of their LED/fire hoops one day) but I've got that DIY bug. There's something so yummy and connected with having made things myself.

Im having problems finding the right tubing though. Ive tried a couple of hardware stores near me but they don't have it. I even tried calling a landscape company or two to see if they had scraps, but no luck.

Does anyone know where I can find 11 to 13 feet of the black 160 psi polyethelyne here in the ATL area? Im up in Marietta.

Home Depot sells 50 ft and 100 ft reels of it. the 100 ft was about $30, and it made about 10 hoops, big and small. I'm sure one up in Atlanta sells it. I got mine at a home depot in Macon, but I'm going to be searching for some near Forsyth this weekend for my sister. I'll let you know if I find anything in smaller bundles north of Forsyth. =)

Lowe's has the black tubing. It's

    Silver-Line Plastics 3/4" x 100' Polyethylene Coil Pipe 160 psi rating Item #: 24195 $26.22

Sometimes you have to ask for it! check online and print out the page to take with you.

Dude! Thanks, that took all the legwork out of it for me. If I weren't taking care of my daughter right now, I might of just hopped down to Lowe's right now. Yummy!
