Being a Devout Nudist I am 100% NAKED about 70% of the time.
100% at home.
100% out in the yard at home.
70% In my car.
20% in "freinds" cars while they drive.
100% while swimming outdoors.
100% while hiking outdoors.

What percentage do you go nude?

Actually, my 2 co-habitors are naked most of the time as well, and everyone at work knows how I live my life and either think it's hilarious or they're just chill with it.

A "devout Nudist/Naturist" finds ways to be naked nearly 100% of the time.
Of COURSE we have to wear those Damn clothes at work, but if I am not working I am NAKED...Period!
As Munkilo pointed out, yeah my housemate is used to my being naked, and people if they are COOL dont make a big deal out of it.
I hike regular nature trails in State parks naked, swim in lakes and rivers naked,if people encounter me in these areas, they are usually too shocked to "say anything"..or tell me I "look comfortable" If I pass someone on a Trail,I smile and say "Good Day"..and most people ive met were Cool with my nakedness.
Of course DO check your local and State laws on "nudity" to make sure you cant get arrested for it.

I drive naked if going from one nudist venue to another. That probably accounts for 10% of my driving.

Nobody notices -- those who see my shoulders may assume I'm just shirtless.

I once got a ticket while naked, on the way to Burning Man, in a small-town speed trap. Both my female passenger and I were nude. The cop said nothing about the nudity, just wrote the ticket and said "Have a nice time at Burning Man!"

LOL! I once drove naked from Dallas to Burning Man, and was stopped for a burned-out headlight in Utah. Unlike you, I hurriedly pulled on a litle emergency kilt before the officer came to the window. The officer and I chatted for a few minutes about things for which he might be able to give me a ticket, and then he asked: "Excuse me, are you naked?" I explained that I was wearing a kilt thingy, and he said "Why?" I didn't really have a good explanation, but he shook his head and let me go. I don't think the kilt would have stayed on if he'd asked me to get out of the car and put my hands up.

Next time I'l have to remember to bring a couple of nude female passengers, though that might not help in Utah.

"Technically" according to WA State Nudity laws currently on the books:
If I am driving naked and an Officer pulls me over, all I have to do is "cover my genitals"(No "frontal Nudity)..with a towel, pair of shorts,or even a cotton rag,
According to our current Nudity Law IF my penis and scrotum are NOT visible to that Police Officer, then I cannot be arrested for being "Nude" although I have NO wish to Test this Theory.

I don't know the exact percentages, it would require a tremendous
amount of calculating and I like to be exact when it comes to
numerical percentages, but I drive naked.

I have driven naked on several occasions. I usually limit this to nighttime and freeway / highway driving because of the reduced chance of being seen.

Going on long distance drives is the best because the heightened sense of "risk" increases awareness and alertness and helps me stay awake; even so I know when to pull over and call it a day. My wife usually travels with me on long road trips and has been there when I have driven naked.

Driving naked at night, and you may as well leave the clothes ON.
        "reduced chance of being seen"?
Driving while naked is ALL ABOUT "Being Seen"!

For me it is all about enjoy the comfort of being nude and I do not care to surprise someone and inspire their wrath; road rage being at an all time high, people just don't need any extra reason to "drop a dime" to the Highway Patrol.

I don't know about the being seen mandate, unless one is an exhibitionist in addition to being a nudist. I don't take much opportunity to drive naked, though when I was still a member at Glen Eden, I enjoyed staying naked for the drive back into LA. Now that I think of it, I should take more opportunities to enjoy the practice, even in the daylight.

you have a point, however if we are PROUD of our Nude Bodies
then why should we ONLY "come out at night"?
A Nudist who is 100% comfortable in his/her own skin would not be "ashamed" to be seen in daylight.

        Jake,

Agreed and I feel no shame whatsoever whenever I am nude, but I think you will have to acknowledge that within the organized nudist communities at least, extensive measures are taken to not subject our nudity to those who may be offended by it. Now personally, I don't see why people should be offended by any (non-threatening) nudity but you and I both know that a lot of people go completely, irrationally bonkers about it. Daytime driving, particularly in a low slung car such as a Mini might drive some poor mother off the road endangering both person and property ;-) . On a more practical note, I prefer to enjoy my social nudity in a context where law enforcement or those violently opposed to nudity have the least reasonable reason to lodge a complaint against yours truly. That is why nudity at acceptable places like organized clubs, nude beaches, my back yard, even national forests lies in a different context from driving naked through the suburbs, or downtown or the shopping center parking lot in broad daylight while unclothed.

Parenthetically, I would be happy to do what ever is possible to change the laws so that we are free to go naked anywhere that we can go clothed.

Your right about "Where" one goes Nude.
Your State's laws on Nudity and Obcenity differ from State to State. Some States like Massachusetts do not define the difference bettween "Nudity and Lewd and lacivious behavior" in these States it is an arrestable offence to even BE Nude outside of your own home.
here in WA State the laws are clearly defined,Nudity is without clothes, and Lewd and Lacivious is Lewdness.
            To make a point:
I can "Be nude" in national parks and wooded getaway spots here..but not "Lewd".
I am found sitting on a log.."Naked"=No arrest by a park Ranger.
I am found sitting on a log "masturbating"= Instant Arrest on a "Lewdness" Charge Here!
It all depends on how the laws define "Nudity"Vs "Lewd Behavior".
Of course this doesn't mean I can walk down Broadway In Seattle "Nude".

              Jake,

Good points and the diversity of state law on the subject does create a difficult environment for establishing a national norm for social nude practice. Count your blessings that you are not living in Alabama or Arkansas. Nude sitting on that log an you would probably wind up as a registered sex offender.

Those States are clearly "Bible Belt" States..where one can find the MOST OUTRAGIOUS "nudity and Obcenity laws" on the Books!
Remember in the 1920's? Alabama Arkansas,Missisipi,Georgia and Tennesee were the LAST States to "Allow" a Woman to show her Ankles!

As for Washington State, what are the laws regarding female nudity? If I was nekkid and wheeling down I-5 and got pulled over......I would be definetly falling into the full frontal nudity category.
Maybe I should knit some little "quick I am getting pulled over" pasties! As for that matter the first hat I ever knitted turned out about the right size for either barbies head or a small willyed man.....Hmmmm

Thats a REALLY valid point nakedsatyr
before Cell Phones the only drivers who could report-in a driver driving naked were those people who had CB Radios so you knew you would *Most likely* never be reported, but today 98% of Drivers have a cell phone so turning in a nude driver is too easy!

I tend to save my naked driving for longer, cross-country drives or on my way to visit nudist friends or my nude camping hiking trips. My shortest nude driving was maybe an hour......my longest was when I was driving from Denver, CO to Philly, staying with nudist friends along the way....I think I wore shorts for only about 25 miles of that trip....slow construction zone, signholder right next to the stop and go traffic, etc......Even gassed up nude once on that trip.......very relaxing and freeing!

Speaking of which, I think it's time for another cross country trip!

In CT, woman can get 2 points on their licsense for that offence. I think the ataute is DUD, ie. driving un dressed. And men with manual transmissions, should realy keep at least on hand on the wheel and the other on the stick at all times

Here in Oregon it's legal to drive naked (and to be naked almost anywhere that there isn't a local ordinance). The Portland newspaper, the Oregonian, did an arcticle about driving naked a while back. What they will arrest you for is 'causing a public disturbance' if you are flashing other drivers or pedestrians.

yes, Oregon law states that you can be nude anywhere as long as its not viewed as sexaul. counties and cities in Oregon can have a tighter restriction on that law. here in Lane County. and the city of eugene. women can go topless. but genitals are to be covered. there are a couple nude spots around eugene. and the police tend to leave us alone since we are not bothering anyone.

I love being nude as much time as i can be. As an over the road truck driver I have logged many miles driving in the buff. I have also found many locations where I can get my rig off of the road and skinnydip, then dry off by the sun, before hitting the road again. I have shared these locations with others who have joined me from time to time.

Unfortunately, Maryland is one of those states that define mere nudity as "Indecent Exposure." So driving naked around here is not a good idea. However, each summer for several years I went camping at Grout Pond in Vermont. That was back before it was "discovered" by the masses and I was usually the only person in the entire park. I was always naked at my campsite and I would also go freehiking. Occasionally, I would decide to check out other trails in the area that were too far away to hike to, so I would drive there naked. The entire area was virtually deserted, so I seldom saw any other cars on the road. It was an awesome feeling driving along the dirt road in my Jeep with the top down and the wind blowing across my body.
