Pick me! No, pick me!

Hmm - I was thinking and this design for a new way to make lacy flares popped into my head. If you look at the bottom half of the pants, the girl on the left is wearing my original design, and the girl on the right is wearing the new design. The new one will be much easier to make which means I can sell them for much less. Probably the set of pants and skirt for under $100, and the pants only for around $80. I have to actually make a pair and figure my time for the exact price.

Which design to you like better?

Oh, and btw, the figures above are talking because someone *whistles innocently* has been reading waaay too much manga lately!

I like the one on the right, too. Although, the one on the left has a pretty textural contrast on the bottom. They are both lovely! Can you make both & charge the difference in labor for each?

By the way, we met at Mitchell's last night! I'm Aember---so nice to meet you & looking forward to more of your designs! :-D

Auralynne I like both as well...although the one on the right does let you see more of the special fabric...very nice!!

Thanks for the input! I probably will end up switching to the new design, but it will not happen until after I've made a pair. So anyone who wants a pair of the old design still has a couple months to order! My impulse is to make both, but I'm trying to get away from offering too many similar things - end result is a very confused Auralynne! :-P

Weell, wanted to post an update... Something to do with the slanted design - making the second way makes the fabric shrink and the resulting pants are about 4 inches too short... Upon making a pair I decided that I definitely like my original design better - some things look great in my imagination and on paper but don't work in real life! lol...
