So Im not a big beer drinker.. love it in Summer of course, with Japanese food.. tastes great... but I rarely drink beer so I dont feel like Im really fit to comment on such a serious and important topic (?) but recently I went to the world's biggest green drinks in fed square and they had different organic beers.. and they tasted vile!!!
Know any that are good? Or are they just not?
Here's a few I found... Aussie of course (come on NZ is Aussie when we want it to be)

Re: Organic beer to drink or not to drink?
Sat, April 26, 2008 - 4:19 AMGoat Beer is in Richmond and I love the flower taste of the High Tail Ale... but is this really "green beer" ?
I guess on one level home brew cuts out packaging and transportation.. from the brewery to the shop and then to your home.. so that might be good..
Bottle water is obviously an environmental disaster - the container and packaging and the transportation...
What I always wanted to know was - if you are buying a drink - is it environmentally more sound to buy it in a glass or can.. Anyone know ? -

Re: Organic beer to drink or not to drink?
Sat, April 26, 2008 - 4:48 AMI dare say that producing aluminum is way worse for the environment than glass... but I could be wrong. Just off the top of my head aluminium smelters use a large proportion of our energy and water use and are subsidised by the government at discount prices. As is everything else.

It would be interesting to know though
I hope they bring in the return policy for bottles and cans like in SA over the rest of Oz..

although they cant even agree to ban plastic bags so I dont see how they will do this (for all those people who scream what about my rubbish bin, I need plastic bags for my rubbish bins.. I dont use any because I recycle all my food scraps.. and anything else I can recycle I can. If you really need to keep your bin clean, just wrap it in newspaper like the olden days or something) -
