hi all --
i have a health history that points to a possibility of hashimoto's.
as an acupuncturist and TCM practitioner, i'm managing it primarily from a TCM perspective, as i don't want to use any kind of synthetic thyroid hormones (or have my thyroid 'nuked').
if there's any other natural remedies or nutritional remedies anyone on the thread finds helpful for keeping hashimoto's down to a tiny whimper, i'd be happy to read them.
also, my dad had an erroneous diagnosis of scleroderma (the blood tests don't match scleroderma, though symptoms do; and i know this can happen with autoimmune diseases, a lot of them don't fit the 'profile'). if anyone fits this profile, i'd be interested to know what you're doing to cope with the symptoms.
thanks!

Re: hashimoto's possibly
Thu, October 12, 2006 - 10:27 PMI'm interested in hearing your story regarding Hashimoto's. I was diagnosed in February 2003. What kind of symptoms were you or do you currently have? Do you suffer similar symptoms of other auto immune diseases?
