Re: Any leads on where to buy gaffers tape, mettalic tape and hooping tape locally?
Fri, August 7, 2009 - 12:48 PMThe only "local" tape I have found in arizona would be at the home depot. They tend to carry a handful of colorful vinyl tapes. But what I have found is buying tape from identi-tape.com is actually cheaper (way cheaper vinyl tape especially) so the shipping/handling balances out for me. Identi-tape also gives you a 15% discount on your order if it is over $100. What I use to do was get a few friends together to place a big tape order. Then you will get the discount! You can find gaffers tape at sports stores, but again, if you buy in bulk, it will be cheaper online. Good luck. Making your own custom hoop is the best! And its wicked addictive. -

Re: Any leads on where to buy gaffers tape, mettalic tape and hooping tape locally?
Tue, August 11, 2009 - 10:16 PMThank you for your expert advice! I made my first hoop with some zurn plex tubing www.2hsc.com/residential...ons/pex.html and I believe the psi is 160. It came out alright, but I noticed that it didn't come out a perfect circle? Is that normal? What kind of tubing is better at keeping the perfect circle shape?

Re: Any leads on where to buy gaffers tape, mettalic tape and hooping tape locally?
Mon, August 17, 2009 - 2:23 PMHi Anna! I work at a dance fitness studio in Tempe and run hoop making workshops there. I buy most my tape from identi-tape, but I needed some extra gaffer's tape recently, so I found some locally at Reel Men in Phoenix. They're a film supplies shop and have 1" and 2" gaff tape in white and black.
I'm running my next workshop on Saturday September 19th for $25, if you'd rather just have all the supplies provided for you! =)

Good luck!
