And now what ?

One of the key attribute of this beginning of the 21st century is a radical redefinition of the publishing and distribution of music, text, images and photography.

The digital distribution of information via the Internet is ending a distribution model which is a hundred years old.
Sure they (the music "industry" for instance) are fighting it with all they got and we all know there is no turning back. The rabbit is out of the box.

No need for Record Labels, recording studios or Radio Stations to get your music out there.

No need for magazines, newspapers or book publishers to get your thoughts, poetry, rants, raves, fiction out there

No need for expensive film, chemistry, fancy paper or art gallery to get your pics out there

No need for expensive cameras, studios, editing rooms, distribution companies, theaters to shoot a film and get it out there.

What does this mean for the way humans are relating together ?
What does it mean for the way people are going to be compensated for their work and their brilliance ?
How am I going to find what YOU wrote, the pics YOU took, the music YOU recorded in the oceans of materials that are already out there ??

What do you think ?
And what can we do about this ?

Let's talk.

If the action can take place on a screen and someone will not drive a car about it, then the future is beginning.
