I haven't done it but I bet you could just size up a piece of fabric and sew the ends together so it makes a loop. It doesn't have to be near as sturdy as yours does.

i *could* sew a kid's pouch sling for about ten bucks plus shipping for anyone who's interested.
    pm me.

Your file size might be too big, I have that problem with my camera and have to shrink the pics.

Oh, and I saw two kid sized slings at a yard sale and with Anaya running around totally forgot to buy them!

I ordered a hot sling from our local boutique that was designed for kids use. I have also seen others make similar slings for their children by using their current sling as a model, changing the measurements, and making one for their child in a fabric their child has picked out. Kid mock mei tai's seem to popular here.

i definitely need one in a colorful, stretchy cotton fabric since abigail's bubby just recently bought her a baby stroller and (gasp!) baby bottles, which were quickly hidden away for a neighbor's kids ... i need the balance of a carrier. i-dee, how much for a two year-old sized mei tai?
