Here is the receipt of Enlightment. take a candle and a chair. Put the candle on the chair. Light the candle. Go sit in front of the chair and look to the candle. There you will have Enlightment.

What I am hearing from you is that our enlightenment comes from within us and our own definitions, not from a judgment made by someone else and their definition of what enlightenment is... and I agree with that. Also, that there is way to much fluff filling the soul from society, such as propoganda TV and self appointed guru books for any of us to be able to reach that place inside of pure and true enlightenment from our authentic state of being. Am I following your thoughts? -

There is a whole pile of things
Basically what I found [in past decades] was our own PERSONAL POWER IS NOT ALLOWED [by many things] in Western (and Eastern Society recently). . .tribe Net is a place where freedom seems to be available . . . which is why I access so many sites to get the FEEEEEL of the general MIND of those who type . . . Knowing how, where a larger than cross section of our World comes from is my interest . . . . .
SO
The first thing is that we are subject to FORCES OF CONTROL BEYOND US AS INDIVIDUALS, (known and unknown), that do not Allow us to access our own freedom . . .[there are enough so-called conspiracy theories around . . . we don’t need to go there] . . . but generally we are subject to a mass of conditioning that DIS-EMPOWERS us as individuals . . . that gobbles our time away, SO THAT we have no time to pursue any sort of individual freedom.
Belief goes thru the Mind
Goes the senses [that’s a whole book by itself-------Neuroscience findings are fascinating] but that is another topic, yet related big time . . .
GOING THRU THE MIND is only a small band of the frequency range available on this planet, so, HOW can we believe all that is in the MIND if it is limited to a small band of frequency range , for a start . . .

Mind I would call Mind-Heart to be correct but I don’t very often . . . a tad lazy. . You may say. . .]
Its sort like riding a Bike, and the bike is RIDING AWARENESS.
Some would (out of whatever reason), talk-write-do PhD on riding a bike, but NEVER get on one, (again, . . .for whatever reason)...
Look at a candle [YES]-and STILL the Mind to the point where the SPACE between this thought and the next thought gets bigger, START THERE . . .
That space can become-happen for hours and days . . . with only a thought here and there.
This can happen for days
The Mind is NOT the only Awareness available . . .
