Way back when I was more ignorant than I am now, physics is the first thing that really "spoke" to me. I don't know what exactly it was but the idea of being able to describe something, anything, truly everything appealed to me on a gut level. Then came math and literature, and metaphysics.
Now it seems that the things are changing. The fine-structure constant, for example, may not be once what it was.
