What's Shakin': News from Bahaia & HOT Seminars in Austin, TX

Here's some BIG-TIME news for ya!

In December, you may have seen the following post on tribe.net,
bhuz.com or myspace.com:

"If you' ve been wanting to attend any of my belly dance events, 2009
IS THE YEAR TO DO IT! For purely personal reasons, I will begin
scaling back and phasing out some of my annual events. Right now, all
dates on the calendar are solid.

This decision has been a long time coming. I've been sponsoring
annual events since 1996 (yes - really since then) with building
scale and frequency. My focus has been gradually drifting in other
directions and I don' t want to fight that natural progression
any longer. No need for alarm or panic. This is a good thing for me.
I'm not quitting belly dance or taking a break . I'm simply
redirecting my focus within the dance. Hope you' ll help me send it
out in style."

But over the holidays, I found another answer by finding 2 new
sponsors for 2 of my major events.

With over 30 successful events since 1996, I have now "passed the
torch"of The Austin Belly Dance Convention and Tribal Dance Camp to
STACEY LIZETTE and BRANDY BOLLIN, respectively, so that my tradition
of high-quality personal service and master-level instruction can
continue. I will remain active in the belly dance community,
supporting The Austin Belly Dance Convention and Tribal Dance Camp
while focusing my energy on my own dancing, my students and my pet-
project, Cabaret Dance Camp, aka "Camparet", held every October in
the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Last fall, I also out-sourced all my retail merchandise sales to
Kim "Kimboura" Carnagey of Embellyshments. Please visit her on-line
store for my CD's and DVD's as well as many other products that I
endorse.
