Frèdèrique began studying American Tribal Style belly dance in February of 1997 and after a long journey of experimentation and self realization, she is now known for her voix de ville (voice of the city) style and pushing musical boundaries by arranging music to enhance her conceptual narrative, creating a sound and sight stage reflecting the intricate nuances of her movement and complementing her technical skill combined with her depth of heart in performance.
She is also known for reinventing her dance-form from one show to the next; her core focus being to improvise each performance in concept, narrative, costume, and dance resulting in a unique performance every time. Frédérique's original look revolved around the foundation of *ATS, her roots in belly dance until 2004 where she began adding elements of the 20's, 30's, and 40's Hollywood era with undertones of carnival, music box, ballerina themes all with the touch from the darker side, arranged together to produce a tangible vision of her creativity, expression, and love for the Arts. Her Avant Garde style is a compilation of dance forms, life experiences, and passion all integrated and filtered through her imagination to share with you.
