Balla Guerra

"The age of the Damsel in Distress has come to an end... Welcome to the Era of the Dame."
I started working on Balla Guerra in December of 2005 as a training exercise for armored combat. The principle was really simple... the entire idea was pretty much based on the premise that if the Galliard could be used for finesse training in combat then I could probably take that concept and build something geared more towards the female body with updated dance technique. Balla Guerra was designed to build endurance, speed and balance while focusing on proper posture and solid sword technique. I gave it enough power that it could function as either a combat training exercise or as a performance art with little difficulty in cross-over. It functions as a parade form for group displays or can stand alone as a solo art.
