Re: INTRO(s)
Thu, May 4, 2006 - 11:07 AM3* Sag moon in the 9th
behind a 9* Sag sun in the 9th
AND...........
a 5* Sag saturn right in the middle of the two.
After reading the opening post about this balsamic moon, it's probably also worth throwing into the ring (not sure exactly why, just a hunch) that there's also Pluto doing a Direct Station in the 6th at 0* Virgo, squaring all 3.
(geez, that looks really dark when you put it all into text, huh? lol )

I think these factors look darker from the outside. I notice that interpretations of pisces/12th house/neptune/balsamic are frightening to astrologers who aren't heavily influenced by these factors themselves, and why would't they be? The same is true of pluto issues . . . the scorpios actually find pleasure in them, and pisces may be the only other sign that can begin to empathize with them. Yo look at the rest of the wheel and it's all about stages of growth and achievment until you get to aries and the 11th house where the processes of accumulation begin to dissapate or de-personalize before the "dark" phases and forces of surrender come into play.
Saturn sandwiched in the middle of a tight balsamic angle sounds pretty cool, from my personal 12th house neptune/saturn, pisces sun/n.node, balsamic moon perspective. it suggests that related surrender or sacrifice can be determined, purposefull and maybe even effective. Or from another angle, if saturn can let go or be dissolved then anything else probably already has been.

Re: INTRO(s)
Thu, May 4, 2006 - 2:31 PM9 degree Pisces in the 8th Sun (I giggle when I type that because is sounds so rediculously ominous, like you should hear funeral music in the background..lol). 29 degree 59 sec Cap Moon... I really feel more like an Aq moon and I won't forget my 16 degree Leo Rising thank you.
I will admit to not knowing much about the balsamic moon stuff. Sounds like some kind of fancy salad dressing. ;O)

Re: INTRO(s)
Wed, June 7, 2006 - 1:37 PMMy Sun is at 14 Pisces in the 7th.
My Moon is at 19 Aquarius in the 6th.
North Node at 11 Pisces, so I was born shortly before an eclipse. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Wed, June 7, 2006 - 5:45 PMcool.
my sun is 3*pisces in the 4th
moon 2*aquarius in the 3rd
n.node 0*pisces
would that mean that I was born just before an eclipse as well? -
-
Re: INTRO(s)
Thu, June 8, 2006 - 9:16 AMyes. if the node is within 12 degrees of conjoining the sun when the moon opposes or conjoins the sun, then there's an eclipse. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Wed, July 19, 2006 - 10:14 AMOvertone, I'm not familar with the sidereal chart so I'm a little confused about an April 12th birthday being a Pisces Sun. That is one thing I love about astrology, there is soooo much to learn about.
It is interesting that of the people who posted in this thread, 4 of the6 are Pisces.

Re: INTRO(s)
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 9:57 AMMoon: 17Pisces49'34", Sun: 18Pisces8'36". About 20 minutes of a degree. Chilly....! It is also about 5 degrees from my descendent in the 6th house. I wish I was more healthy ;0)

Re: INTRO(s)
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 12:10 PM"4 of the6 are Pisces."
now it's 5 out of 7.
maybe pisceans are more likely to notice or care about balsamic moons. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 4:29 PMI've noticed A LOT of Piscean activity on the astro tribes. God I didn't even look at them until about a month ago. I'm thinking it has something to do with Uranus (which rules astrology) in Pisces right now. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 4:31 PMA balsamic moon is Pisces also has a special term. I don't remember how to spell it but it's pronounced 'aracnid'. I don't know much more than that but my mentor told me that it is very significant because it is the last phase of the moon at the LAST phase of the zodiac. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.Unsu...
Re: INTRO(s)
Mon, July 24, 2006 - 8:33 PMLike arachnid, a spider? Is there more info online about this (he says when he could just look it up)? -
-
Re: INTRO(s)
Tue, July 25, 2006 - 10:22 AMYes, the pronunciation is either exact or almost exact. I don't remember which book he refered me to. I do know that we were on the topic of Demetra George and asteroids (we were having an in depth conversation about Lilith which led to dark moon topic). You could try google for arachnid and moon and see what comes up. I can ask him next time I see him as well.
Basically his summary of it was that it was incredibly old soul energy being at the end of the zodiac and the end of the moon phase. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Tue, July 25, 2006 - 4:32 PMthere's no doubt that a balsamic moon in pisces particularly behind a pisces (rather than aries) sun would compound everything that we associate with each of those features . . . put it in the 12th house for good measure and we're lookig at one heck of a deep and intuitive old soul, would be my guess. I don't see why there shouldn't be a special name for it. But simply saying "sun and balsamic moon in pisces" should be enough to make the point.
but let's not confuse the sidereal term "dark moon," which covers 30* (i think) on both sides of the new moon with with "balsamic moon" which covers only the last 45* of the lunar cycle. -

Re: INTRO(s)
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 1:49 AMThanks for leading me onto this post Steve. I thought there must be some significance in having my pisces balsamic moon in the 12th house behind my pisces sun, although I don't know if having my sun in the first house and not the 12th would lessen the effect. I'm always sceptical of using the term old soul, I feel as though I'm being condescending. I kind of just feel like I'm always on borrowed time if that makes any sense. Like there are no more lives to come. Are you a balsamic pisces moon too? -
-
Re: INTRO(s)
Fri, July 28, 2006 - 8:38 AMif "old soul" sounds too self aggrandizing, try "mired in deeper shit" :-)
as far as the sun falling in your first house, you might legitimately claim to be mired in even deeper shit if it were in your 12th; but as it is, you'll still have a hard time passing yourself off as a new moon aries.
my balsamic moon is at 2* aquarius in my 3rd behind the sun at 3* pisces in my 4th. -
-
Re: INTRO(s)
Thu, August 3, 2006 - 6:00 PMHow lovely and negative I like that.
I've had a look at my chart to see the exact position of this troublesome moon. It says my balsamic moon is at 6* pisces in 12th house behind my sun at 15* pisces in my first house. And squashed in between this in my pisces ascendant and my pisces venus.

Re: INTRO(s)
Thu, May 17, 2007 - 6:58 PMGreetings! My name is Holly (or Parvati) My first post on this group, is also my first post on tribe.net.
Am I correct in assuming that the 'dark of the moon' is the new moon? and why is it called balsamic??? ...sounds yummy...
I was born within 2 hrs of the new moon; sun and moon 5 and 3 degrees Taurus in the 10th. - part of my grand trine -pluto/virgo - Jupiter/Cap <1degree orb
of course, if the new moon has nothin to do with it, will someone please enlighten me?! I haven't discussed these matters in quite some time.
OM Shanti -
