dance! This class is strictly for beginners…no experience necessary!!
Each day at Sea we will offer dance programs which include :
*belly dance workshops each day at sea (beginner and Advanced Skills )
*private casual dance party Wednesday evening
*Friday night Hafla Show with solo and group performances– all are welcome to perform !
Exact workshop & Hafla schedule will be provided prior to sailing .
Please bring your own hip scarves, veils, zills and other costuming.

Ava Fleming:
With her extensive knowledge and experience in international dance styles, Ave Fleming brings a truly unique and modern approach to the belly dance community.L ocated in Phoenix, Arizona, her teaching and performances throughout the Southwestern region have created quite a demand for her practice of Raks Sharqi. Her focus on isolations and music interpretation has captivated audiences here in the U.S. and abroad. As the director, choreographer, and creator of the Black Opal Dance Company, audiences have had the opportunity to see her creative dance style amplified by ten. Ava's 2004 Belly Dancer of
the Universe title (Egyptian category) has only furtherd her popularity with all who have seen her dance. Ava’s instructional and performance dvds have inspired and challenged many who have taken on the task of studying her elegant example of the modern belly dancer through which novices and
masters alike will gain challenge and insight
Kami Liddle:
Kami’s style is what she calls a modern fsuion of an ancient dance. Although she is primarily a tribal dancer, she pulls from the various styles of belly dance that she has studied, as well as modern, hip hop, jazz, and bhangra dance. Kami performs both as a solo artist and also collaborates wh iotther dancers. She is a guest artist for The Indigo, directed by Rachel Brice, and has also worked with Samatha Riggs of Boom Boom Bollywood on choreography and periodically performs with the company. Kami was nominated for “Best Kept Secret” and “Best interpretive Artist” for 2005
Zaghareet Magazine and won the title “Entertainer of the Year 2005” at the Wiggles of the West. Kami currently tours with The Bellydance Superstars.
Samantha Riggs:
Samantha Riggs is the Founder, Artistic Director, Choreographer and Lead Dancer for bothB oom Boom Bollywood and The Sexy Scallywags Pirate Circus in Tempe, Arizona, and is a performer with Fyrae fire arts troupe. She was the assistant director as well as a core dancer, teacher, musician and choreographer Dfoorm ba Tribal Fusion Dance Troupe
(winners of the 2006 Zaghareet “Best Troupe” award) from 1996 until their dissolution in October of 2006. Samantha has traveled the world teaching Bollywood Style Dance, Tribal Style Bellydance, Tribal Fusion, Fire Arts and Pirate Bellydance. Her serious obsession with Bollywood movies has, over the years, infected others... leading to her higher
goal of connection and understanding between the Western and the Ind-Ao merican communities. Samantha has a long history on stage withm any other forms of theatre arts including fire performance, stage combat, acting, stand-up comedy and comedy improv, singing, drumming and folk dancing .
