seeking PantheaCon 2008 roommate(s)

topic posted Mon, January 21, 2008 - 1:14 PM by  Cat
Greetings! My name is Cat, and I am a NW witch who will be vending at PantheaCon. I wasn't able to get a room at the hotel itself, and am hoping to find someone who has a reservation, but needs help splitting the room. I have a reservation at a nearby hotel, which I could also share with folks without a reservation anywhere who are looking to share. Please feel free to contact me by email or phone: 503-866-9956.

I would suggest trying on line periodically, and using the Pan code word.
They do release a few rooms from time to time, unexpectedly.

Also CALL the Doubletree. Like with a tele-phone. When I checked in September they were sold-out for Pcon, but when I called they had some rooms available. Long shot, but worth a try.

Thanks folks. I did call again, and this time they had rooms (who in their right mind would cancel?!). So now I have a room at the Con, but no roommates yet... I eat meat, but rarely in my room, don't smoke tobacco, SNORE, and will be gone almost all day in the vending room. And did I mention, for the sake of full disclosure, that I snore........

I got my room in mid January so checking back periodically was well worth it!
Did this before and got a room then too. Weird how additional rooms are freed
up at the end. I think the hotel is biding their time with some rooms in hopes that
non convention goers will book them for higher price and when that doesn't happen,
they release additional rooms at the convention rates so that they at least get them sold!

jeez- being jerked around sucks. i called a week or so ago and they said they had 1 room for $300+ a night. (just a regular room with a king bed mind you) i understand they gotta make a buck just like anyone else but this is kinda cheesy.
