Tue, April 5, 2005 - 3:50 PMYes, just watched it last night, due to the modern miracle of TiVo. (I would have thought a tIvO would be PeRFecT for you, cOpPeRSaNGel!)
I thought it was pretty good.
Much amused that the Gallagher family's youngest kid is called Liam. The drunken father, who has earned the respect of his children (they roll him out of the way so they won't trip over him), is very funny.
A bit disappointed that they "erased" all the rude words (well, the spoken ones - they left the written ones like the graffiti on the boards over the windows claiming they had no f-ing tv licence because gradad was dead). The accents were strong enough that it was hard enough for even me (who has no accent - see other Tribe) to make out what they were saying without cutting out every few words.
Everyone's invited to bring over a few cans of lager to watch the next episode at my place. Hmm... on second thoughts, maybe not!

Tue, April 5, 2005 - 5:10 PMyeah, i finally got to bbc america today to check out the bio on it. luckily that was the first show, so i went to our DVR!! (is that not just the shiznit?? lol) and set up recording for the whole series.
i know what you mean about the words. i said something to copper about it....oh, they'll show them going at it frantically loud in the kitchen then turn around and beep out the work fuck.....unless thats just the american version. do they beep them out in england?
im really looking forward to it. of course, im sure that because i do like it so much, and it isnt a bunch of fluff, it will probably be replaced by "Do your own pasta wallpaper" decorating series
IF YOU'RE NOT MANC
YOU'RE A WANK!!!! LOL -

Wed, April 6, 2005 - 2:35 PMFor anyone who doesn't have a DVR or missed the BBC America Link it has changed from Sunday nights to Thursday nights.
If you want to read up more about the show you can try www.bbcamerica.com/genre/dr...eless.jsp but be careful there is an oberview of the episodes that may contain spoilers. And to answer your question, it is just the USA version with the fucks missing. Sadly pretty much most of BBC America is censored. I'm hoping there will be a DVD release soon, to see it as it should we without commercials and with no censorship.

Fri, April 8, 2005 - 12:44 PMWatched epsidode two last night, even funnier. Maybe a bit to strong for the average American viewer brought up on "Everybody hates Raymond". But it was all there, sex, lust, really good practical jokes, violence, booze and drugs. What more can you ask for. Made me homesick, not. -
