Feel free to contribute what you need as a DJ to provide the dancers with the best possible "sound reinforcement" for their performances or entertainment.

    Good equipment! Good monitors!

For performances, preferably their tracks on a CD by themselves with explicit instructions: ie. begin track with dancers on/off stage, wait for cue, etc. Back up CDs! In case one doesn't work.

Some indication of what kind of music they want: ie strictly bellydance flavour, world flavours, anything with a good beat, goth, whatever... the vibe they want the night to have. Unless its your night, and they are dancing for your night and then its up to you.

Excellent! Thanks Ra! I know that it's helpful to have detailed notes about the track or tracks a dancer or a troupe wants played for a performance. Including the artist, song title, length of the song (so they don't pause or stop on a break), track number, etc. is definitely a plus.
