We have just NOW been informed that this will be the last performances of world renowned, very energetic Faten Salama! www.fatensalama.info/2009/about.html
While it's disheartening to learn this, we are excited that one of her performances will be with the world renowned Amir Thaleb www.amirthaleb.com/
We are honored that this will take place at Casablanca on King St in Alexandria, VA www.bellydanceforlife.com/amirt...p.html
I'm certainly excited that I will get to see this myself and doing my best to get the word out to all who may be interested since this is short notice. I had a fabulous time at the show. It was great to see some new as well as familiar faces in the crowd and everyone's performance was spectacular. Amir was amazing as expected. I enjoyed Faten Salama's stellar performance alongside Amir Thaleb as they danced for the first time together unrehearsed to the live band of Hicham, Nabil and Brad along with surprise guest and great Arab singer Hatim Idar to Egypian classics that included Abdel Halim's "Gana al Hawa!"
Many thanks to Blythe, Lisa, Ana, Joy, Ana, Ellen, Undine, Lisa, Kristen, Deidree, Natalie, Saphira, Shahrazad, Zaira al Zahara, Saja, Katayoun, Toria, Thalia Hamdi, Amanishakheto, Kostana, Suzana Nour, Katrina and Mayaday Subri for adding to the festivity of the night.
Many thanks to DJ Greg and his beautiful assistant Karima and to Sharon and Dave for their help and support.
It was also a treat to have an after glow celebration with Hatim and the band.
