Times:: Fri. 9:00AM-3:00PM, Sat. 10:00AM-4:00PM, Sun. 9:00AM-3:00PM (3:00PM-5:30PM optional certification testing)
Cost:: $337.50 for Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance Members, $375 for Non-Members, $100 for Level I Certification Testing (optional)

Level I Certification Option:: Level One Certification testing will be offered to participants as determined by Suhaila at a cost of an additional $100. Not all Workshop participants will necessarily be considered by Suhaila for Certification. Certification candidates must also be enrolled as members of the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance. About the Suhaila Salimpour Technique- The Suhaila Salimpour Technique is based on the expansion and evolution of the format created by her mother, Jamila Salimpour. Jamila was the first dance instructor to define the steps, "Basic Egyptian","Maya" and "Turkish Drop". Her technical analysis of the movements and positions has enabled students to assimilate this dance form in a logical manner for over 40 years. Structured like her mother's format, Suhaila's teaching helps students internalize dance movements. Suhaila's methods delineate which muscles are engaged in each movement and suggest specific exercises designed to build the muscular strength and endurance necessary to execute movements well. Suhaila's program emphasizes the developments of emotional expression by students at any level.
