So, I've been to hella beaches.
Lived on them my entire life.
The magazines and media claim that st. petersburg florida has the most beautiful beaches in America.
This is also the lightning capital of America.
and well, I disagree.
The beaches here are lined with hotels, and fake sand.
Yeah, the water is warm, but that's the only +
The beaches along California's north coast are far more beautiful, IMO. Even though the water is so cold.
I even got the chance to go to Maui a couple times, and they have some black sand beaches, and underneath the water is a rainbow symphony of sea life!
Maui, with the islands on the horizon, definitely has the most beautiful beaches I've pranced around on.
I'd like to know your guys' consensus on beaches throughout the world. GO!

Wed, March 19, 2008 - 8:42 AMI was in Tampa Bay and I thought the beaches there had the softess sand! I agree with the development tho.
California and right up the west coast is breath-takingly beautiful and I am lucky to live on the northern edge.
I have been to the Big Island of Hawaii and I found the beaches to be very interesting, especially the black sand beaches...kind of hot to walk on! I heard about a green sand beach on the southern most tip of the island but I never got to see it...has anyone been there?
It sounds kind of cool :) -

Tue, March 25, 2008 - 11:00 PMHi guys, I got carried away and posted quite a few pics of Inskip Peninsula in our tribe photo album. It's a couple hours north of where I live. Will post some pics of the beaches I live close to, when I take some digital shots of them.
I have a hard time coming up with 'most wonderful' beaches. They're all so beautiful in different ways! :)
