Does anyone have an opinion about quickbooks online?

I'm going to do a test run on my wife's business.

Hi everyone, I am currently working in the city of San Francisco. I have been doing many "clean-up" jobs lately, and I love the "forensic" nature and Andrew speaks of. However, I don't seem to like the maintenance. Do you have any ideas on creating a network of bookkeepers looking for work? I thought Tribe would be a good place, but I don't see too much action on this particular tribe. Thank you, Natalie

Really needing some good help!

I had two different companies pay on one check for several months before they informed me they were doing so. Obviously I was contacting them regarding the other's non-payment, but just this month (and this has been going on since June) they got me their allocation information. Well, I have already reconciled those months - I went in and unchecked the reconciliation pertaining to those payments - updated the client accounts, then when I went in to check them again this is the warning I got.

Cleared Transaction Warning

Transactions marked as cleared in your account register are not connected to transactions on your account statement unless you have properly reconciled your account. Clearing transactions from the account register is not the correct way to match your statement to your account register.

We recommend that you reconcile your account by choosing Reconcile from the Banking menu and following the process through from start to finish.

Do you want to clear this transaction now?

(check box) Do not display this message in the future

(selection box YES) (selection box NO)

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if selecting YES will be okay. Nothing on the bank reconciliation changed - the deposit amount and check was exactly as it was when I reconciled the first time. All I did was reallocate the funds to two different companies. I really don't have to start from the beginning on my reconciliation do I? Checking it off as cleared again should be okay right?

Thanks for your help.
MC

I have two clients in the Bay area and recently joined the Quickbooks Pro Advisor program. I've been
using Quicken and Quickbooks for the past 14 years to keep track of things at my own businesses. My niche
seems to be getting mac based artist types up and running their own books, I've done this for four businesses to date.

Thanks for the thought of starting tribe.

Best,
g.
