we are proud to bring u a very exciting night of music this thursday with our friends from the downlow crew:
DownLow was born almost three years ago out of little more than a
Toxic Beach, a sound system and a big bus. Since then the DL crew has
been known for their meticulous execution in pioneering numerous
unique outdoor renegade spots and epic parties that don't stop until
you fall over. Clearly contributing to the falling over is the
dastardly DJing of DownLow selectors Alxndr & PiotroN.
Alxndr plays a dance-floor friendly mix of music: tribal atmospheric
grandma grime, epic tibetan robot dub, kosher poetic neuro-bleeptech,
with the occasional underground muffinbeat thrown in for good measure.
[Thanks to Dr. Toast for his hilarious genre generator]. As for
PiotroN, over the past year he has been shifting in a slightly
different direction, away from some of the darker electro and into a
gray area where many of his favorite genres hold hands, skip, hop,
glitch, and play. Cultivating a sound that only Dr. Toast's genre
generator could describe but somehow sounding almost nothing like
Alxndr, PiotroN's redefining himself and bringing you only the finest
from his ridiculous collection of breaks, electro, idm, 80's, tech
house, glitch pop, and whatever else it takes to get you bitches off.
also featuring a live set of new music from Kitty-D (Apocalypse Meow)
and Neptune (Spiritual Technologies)
to start off the night
$5 top shelf tequila b4 midnite.
$5 @ the door
at club Shine on Mission (between 9th and 10th st)
Beat Church is every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month
Thanx for all the support (going on 6 years) hope to see u there

Re: Dr Toast
Thu, December 6, 2007 - 11:26 AMWell, unfortunately I won't be playing at this particular beat church... BUT, I do have a new CD coming out soon that includes those crunchy beats I dropped on the playa, so you can puddle with your loved ones in the comfort of your own home :) Check out drtoast.com, friend request me here on tribe or myspace.com/drtoastmusic, and I'll let you know when it's available!
