i have a really good opportunity to move to portland but my partner's very ill and can not get healthcare through standard channels. it took us months to get his healthcare set up here in ny. we don't want to be here -- i'm due to give birth soon and it's time to get out of this overpriced gotham babylon. at the same time, i want to make sure the move will be safe for my partner/bd. anybody know about portland medicaid and other programs? feel free to pm me. thanks.

There was still an Oregon Health Plan here, last I heard, but I have also heard that it has been dismantled considerably in the last several years.
