Im making some yarn hair falls special for the occaison. You get an elastic lycra hair tye, yarn (anything thats thick like a dreadlock) and ribbons and what not, and lay out strands double the length you want the tail. Make them uneven for that tapered look. When you get desired thickness, pull thru the hair tye. Sinch tie it off and walla! Put your hair in a bun, and rope the elastic around your bun and make it sit on top of your head. I am right now making "Purple Space" ones, with white, pink, purple and silver ribbons. I have a purple dress and silver leggies. I made the leggies out of a really ugly silver metallic granny sweater I got at the thrift store. I just cut off the arms and put them around my leg....instant space legs! I can add trim to the bottom or whatever. FUN!
And Im currently working on Spaceman on a stick, but my GOSH DARND COOLNEON L WIRE DRIVERS ARE all being a PAIN IN THE ASS.....coolenon LWire is realy cool stuff, but it breaks so easily and is pricey. I just wrote them a letter of complaint, I actually might need to get a new driver so my spaceman on a stick can glow all purple. NOTE: Spaceman on a stick is tiny, the stick is tiny, like the venue, so he wont be intrusive at all. :)
