Find me a scooter?

Hey does anybody know of a deal on a working Vespa or a project bike in the San Francisco area? I'd prefer a mid 60's VBB but I'd also be open to a P200 or 125. From 1987 to 1993 I had about 10 bikes and rode scooters in the santa Cruz Scooter Club and have always regretted selling my last one. Hey are there any real Mods left or is there still a scene of actual Mods... you know suits, parkas and porkpies?

    those were about my years too in the Santa Cruz MOUNTAINS, tho...I know there is still a pretty big mod scene in SF - there are some pretty big scooter clubs, all the names of which escape me, but you can see some of em in that first big Third Eye Blind video. Nice to see an old school mod from my 'hood!

      Yeah I was thinking of going to that "NEW UNTOUCHABLES" international mod 60's weekender up in San Francisco. I recognize one of the dj's names from the Berkley scene and a really really old name from here in S.C. There's gonna be a scooter show and ride mod dj's soul, r&b and Dave Davies from the Kinks. It's been many years since i got to check out this stuff. Did you know anybody from Santa Cruz?

        Actually there was a pretty good show here in Petaluma (north SF bay area) last night. Monkey and the Planet Smashers both did good sets, if you're into ska as well as mod and r&b. Best part of the night was when Monkey covered Toots and the Maytals "Pomp and Pride".
        Does anyone know if there are any real mod bands local to the SF Bay area though? I'd love to see some live, current acts.

          I heard there was "Loved Ones" reunion sometime last year but I don't know any current mod bands. The Jessica Fletchers are from Oslo Norway and they have a very distinct mod 60's sort of sound but they aren't exactally bay area I guess... still check out the album.

    I remember the santa cruz scooter club. I was in the California Road runners
    from 1988-1991. I did all of the patches and flyers for all the shows
