In the past 24 hours I have been consumed with getting ready for a weekend of performances...burning cd's, practicing, getting costume ready, etc etc...in doing this, my spiritual practice has, how do you say.....NOT HAPPENED!!!.....I found that in the past 24 hours of non-practice (chanting/meditation/japa etc etc) I have been filled with materialistic feelings....the "I need this, I need that"....when I follow my practice day to day, I spend more time thinking about MINIMIZING and how I can get rid of more material yukkiness I'm attached to.
I just thought it was interesting.... -

Sat, March 18, 2006 - 12:34 AM...in the past 24 hrs I have been charmed & enticed by Trina's questions posted to this tribe!
And as a result terribly side-tracked from my work... although it's 3.25 & I really should be in bed, but there's something about the night hours... quiet, no interruptions, I can focus so much better with no humans around to distract or syphon energy...my kitties are night owls with me...
In the past 24 hrs I had yet another lesson in how easy it is to hurt someone without meaning to
The very same lesson also being that I have no control over how someone will receive something
In the past 24 hrs I learned that March is the most difficult month of the year for birds to find adequate food to survive winter in most of North America. That's why March is the best time of the year to feed birds in the backyard. enature.com/articles/detail.asp

Fri, March 24, 2006 - 6:54 PMIn the last 24 hours I have danced....A LOT! And I love it! My teacher has us rehearsing our performance number for the Kami workshop :) and we are also practicing for our show that takes place next Saturday. It will be my first time performing ATS :)
I also talked to my dad today. I miss him so I called him today. He's my favorite person :) -

Sat, March 25, 2006 - 8:44 AMOh my goodness! Don't worry, we just started rehearsing last night. It's not an easy coreography....lots and lots of stuff to learn still but I'm excited. I definatly wont be as nervous as last time...I was alone. This time I'll be dancing with my teacher, Kadri, and two other girls...Jenna and Mandy. We're so excited about it :) It's so weird learning a coreography. For the last year I've been learning ATS with lead and follow.
