    "Dangerous Beauty" was the release name in America. it was "The Honest Courtesan" in Europe. Based on a book by Margaret Rosenthal which was a biography of the courtesan and poet; Veronica Franco. Very dry reading, but the movie has inspired a lot of people to explore the role of courtesans in the Renaissance.
