Can you make it a nursing bra? No, I'm not kidding. I am a dedicated mama of a 9mo and 3YO, and I believe in extened nursing. One of the reasons I have rarely had a chance to dance since becoming a mama is because the garb is not always nursing friendly. Any chamce it could happen?

  • Call me crazy, but… uh… is it really necessary to nurse while you perform?
You could make your dance bra be the last costume piece you put on before your performance and the first piece to come off after your performance and, in theory, everyone is satisfied. (Right?)

If you're just wearing it to class, then… well, your kids aren't going to class with you, right?

I'm not trying to be offensive, so I hope I'm not. I don't' understand why a costume piece for performances would need to facilitate nursing. (Also not being a mama myself. Studying for future prospects, I guess.)

I have to agree with you. I nursed my daughter for over a year and on the few occasions I went out to meetings, etc. without her I didn't find it necessary to wear a nursing bra. And part of the reason for wearing the nursing bra is to be able to get access to your nipple very quickly and you probably wouldn't be able to get anything as supportive as you would need to dance that can open like that. I would be amazed if anyone could make a costume/ nursing bra that actually performed both desired functions adequately. Pessimistic, me, never. -Freya
