I am in the process of getting the Eye Kandy stuff up on the website, and that means pics! However, unfortunately, Eye Kandy does not offer digital pictures of their products to their consultants/distributors, so we have to do our own. My question to you is -- what kind of pics would be helpful?
I am going to do a pic of each color in the pot. However, they're kinda hard to truly tell what the colors look like in person. So, I was thinking of maybe doing a little sample, of each color, on the back of my hand of what it looks like (a) as an eyeliner, or thick line; (b) as an eyshadow, or all-over application with the Liquid Sugar; and (c) as a body dust, or all-over dry application.
What do you think? Would that help? Is it worth the trouble (there are 60 colors)? Would there be something else I'm not thinking of that would be more helpful?
I'm also going to include written "descriptions" as well, but I'm just thinking about photos right now...since they're the most time-consuming thing.
Your thoughts?

Re: What do you think?
Wed, May 6, 2009 - 10:23 AMMy own suggestion is just start with each in the pot. Then as people ask "what does this really look like," you can put up photos of it on the skin.
Lighting makes a difference, skin tone makes a difference, even eye color makes a difference. Until or unless someone requests it, I wouldn't go through the trouble of eyeliner, shadow, body dust, etc.
Maybe have the pots on or near flesh-colored fabric, maybe "spill" a little of it…
That's my suggestion.
However, if you're looking at this as "oh boy! I get to play with Eye Kandy!" by all means, play with Eye Kandy. ;)

Wed, May 6, 2009 - 11:18 AMIf you look at how other makeup companies show off their colors it may help. A lot of times you see the pot on a neutral colored surface with a bit of the color on the end of a brush and/or spilled next to it. Do you know what I mean? -Freya
