Workshops with American Belly Dancer Razia
On the 26th and 27th of April, American Belly Dancer Razia will be teaching in Leuven. Nicole and Artemisia are happy to announce 7 hours of workshops with this exciting dancer!
About Razia:
Razia is an award-winning performer (People's Choice @ 2006 Belly Dancer USA Competition & Professional Belly Dancer of the Year @ 2004 MedCa competition) and popular instructor of Belly Dance whose passion, dedication, and flair for the dance have made her a favorite locally and internationally.
An outstanding entertainer with a bewitching smile, Razia artfully blends grace, passion, fun, and glamour into her performances. As an instructor, she has earned accolades for her excellent technique, musicality, and ability to clearly break down movements for students.
About the workshops:
Saturday 26th april (14-17h) The Art of Expression
An amazing dancer has more than great moves — it's stage presence that makes her truly memorable! In this three hour workshop Razia shares her hints, technique, and tricks for really connecting with the audience and working a song to its emotional fullest. Topics such as gaze, hand and arm placement, and breath will be covered. A must for all performing artists! Learn to express music with ease, engage your audience with confidence, and dance with power!
Sunday 27th april (11-13h) 3D your Dance
Take your belly dance technique to the next level and discover how to make your moves anything but ordinary! Improve your hip and belly work with Razia's 3D Core technique drills, and learn how to give texture and depth to your isolations. Razia will share her tips for safe and easy level-changes as well!
Sunday 27th april (14-16h) Drum Solo Choreography
Learn a short-'n'-sassy drum solo choreography, featuring exciting shimmy layers, dynamic accents, folkloric flavors, and loads of attitude! An excellent addition to your performance repertoire! Choreography will use "Solo Tabla 1" from Ya Bahaia.
