Hello everyone!

Mixed level percussion workshop- This is a RARE opportunity to learn about Tunisian rhythms firsthand !!!

Najib has been playing the darbouka since age 9. He studied at the Tunisian Conservatory & has accompanied numerous renowned Arabic musicians & singers during his career. He has played drum solos for several bellydancers in Europe & the US. He has worked with Reda Darwish, Aisha Ali, Hossam Ramzy, George Yazbek, Aboud Abdel 'al, Khalidah Kali, and Rebaba (to name a few).

Najib will cover some Tunisian & Andalusian rhythms. Please bring a drum. There will be few drums available for borrow. Dancers, please bring finger cymbals so you can learn how to transpose drum rhythms to the cymbals.
