The other day my sister told me that I might want to avoid a friend of hers, who she said would have a phobia of me. Not me in particular... but she told me that this guy has a phobia of -- jewelry. The look of it, the sound of it, the feel of it. I guess you'd never want to show him how well the zils sound with the new coin bedleh set.
Seems like a real-life bellydancer-phobia to me. I did a cursory check on Google to confirm that yes, people actually DO have a phobia of jewelry and it's not just this one guy. I've never heard tell of it before. I bet none of this people have been in any audience that dancers here have entertained, I doubt that anyone could drag them to see a coin and Kuchi bedecked dancer, even if the chiffon DID muffle some of the sound. Plus, it would've gotten around that someone once ran screaming from your audience and you'd still be doing damage control.
Anyone ever hear of this before? And who wishes that they had this for just a little while to reduce any more expensive acquisitions?
