I'm thinking about adding some fringe down the bottom of the arm and possibly some cowry accents.
Also bought some fancy gold crochet cotton and these are going to match my cabaret costume.....simple project....and very pretty! I just haven't decided if I should get sequin in purple/whitish or stick to the gold theme. My costume is purple and gold with white rhinestones. Any Ideas? Should I leave the sequin out all together?

This is the link- I modified her pattern a little because some parts didn't make sense to me, but I prefer making my own patterns anyhow. Hah....that way I can't mess them up!

I have tried some free patterns out there on the web, but none have been successful. Also I have had no luck with finding patterns in stores. I am making this for myself, and am a 34 ribcage D cup.

I am wanting to make some budget, crocheted, bra covers for beginners and those who want a bit of fantasy in their lives. My thought is to make a beaded and sequined bra cover in crochet thread (probably double thread with the fancy bits on one thread and nothing on the other). I've got a pattern for a halter style, string, bikini top from the 80's which is good for those who can go braless. For those of us who must wear a good support bra, this is not the right pattern.

My question is what to do about the straps, sides and backs? I could make something that just covered the front if worn with a short vest or a gwhazi (sp???) coat. I'm thinking about two separate cup covers that could be overlapped for fit and have a cord/ribbon run through the bottom. Lay the bra on a flat surface, put the crocheted pieces down; adjust them, and run the ribbon through the bottom. The degree of modesty is up to the wearer.

I'm going to a rave in July, and desire a bellydance inspired outfit. But I'll be dancing all night and jumping around. So I figure a halter will look good, keep me cool, and strap "the girls" down in place.

Sooo....any one know of any patterns or actual tops I can purchase?
Or if anyone has drafted a pattern and is willing to share I'll pay for shipping....

I just want a halter top base in BLACK that I can cover in glow-in-the-dark/black light reactive stuff.....

greetings everyone.

i've been trying to crochet belts with limitted success - i'm still really new to crochet (and even newer to belly dance crochet). but i've been drumming for about 13 years and playing darbuka for about 6 years. anyway, i read about the crochetted zill covers and was wondering if anyone had any patterns/helpful ideas for drum covers per chance. i want the bag/cover to be sturdy enough to protect my darbuka while i'm travelling to and from performances.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
