He is not very happy with me this evening. He is now sitting on the couch (smelling much better!) sulking. He won't look at me. He seems so indignant! Poor thing! Now I need to start some more sewing! I'm working on a purple, green and aqua bedlah. I can hardly wait to get it done!

Re: Gave the cat a bath tonight
Wed, February 4, 2009 - 5:43 AMWe've *adopted* a stray cat here at work. We paid to have her fixed (amazingly, with some help from the state for *taking care* of a stray) - boy, did I ever have to scrabble to catch and cage her! Anyway, she's ok around people, but she does have her moments when she'll bite or scratch. I can't begin to imagine how she'd react to getting a bath! -

Re: Gave the cat a bath tonight
Wed, February 4, 2009 - 6:10 AMMy 8 cats sit around the top of my tub every morning and play with my toes. They want to get in so bad. I just need them to learn to fish for their dinner!

Wed, February 4, 2009 - 7:33 AMI'm sure the cat would be much happier if you'd work with some really, really expensive fabric with equally expensive beads with which he could play...with claws...out... -

Re: Gave the cat a bath tonight
Wed, February 4, 2009 - 4:43 PMCats are definately easier to offend than a dog. I give my dog a bath and he goes crazy with joy! He rolls and runs and rolls some more. Silly dog. He thinks I am a goddess!

Re: Gave the cat a bath tonight
Thu, February 5, 2009 - 8:29 AMBrave woman.
My boy, Jack, likes to sit on the edge of the tub and soak his tail while I take a bubble bath, but heaven forbid I ever try to give him an actual bath.
My older girl will get soaking wet sitting under the faucet drinking water drops, but if I even shake my damp hands in her direction, she races off like I tried to drown her. My youngest girl is just plain terrified of water (I suspect someone may have tried to drown her before I adopted her because when I first brought her home, I was holding her and she saw the water in the toilet and freaked out - I still have the claw marks to prove it - she's calmer now, but still is afraid of water).
I love when cats get indignant. It's just so darn cute. -

Re: Gave the cat a bath tonight
Thu, February 5, 2009 - 11:22 AMMy five year old grandsone told me a story last night about how you clean the toilet by putting a cat in it and flushing. Maybe a five year old got ahold of her prior to your adopting her. Poor kitty. I gotta admit, I had him tell me a second time just to hear him describe it. Five year olds are so wonderful.
