Re: Don't read this if you are on a diet
Fri, March 13, 2009 - 8:07 PMOh yes...you MUST leave in the cream and prepare the mac ....and then add the cottage cheese. I like the large curd...and buy a brand here that isn't quite so dry. So good....but what an artery killer~!! -

Re: Don't read this if you are on a diet
Tue, June 9, 2009 - 12:57 AMAnd, if you haven't, you might want to try this with Annie's Natural Mac & Cheese. Its also the powdered cheese kind too, but much better than Kraft's... there's also a mildly spicy "Mexican" version, another with aged cheese (very cheddar), and so forth. Sometimes I make it with lots of butter or margarine instead of milk (I use little if any milk for anything else, and don't want to let go to waste much of a carton for just making some mac & cheese...), and sometimes add some grated cheese of my own and melt it in stirring.
And for more substance, I add a can of Tuna.. ;) Instant tuna casserole? Well, not really.... ;)
