Yep, I'd call that a belly roll, not an undulation.

i get the feeling lots of people confuse the two....

note the number of vids on youtube teaching "bellyrolls" that are actually undulations....

I agree, tho we could call it an undulation of the abdomen.... ;-) maybe there's a translation issue here.
I teach undulations always & belly rolls hardly ever. Many students don't want to learn if I tell them it will make their tummies pouch out.

I originally learned an undulation as an isolation (upperback/upper abs/lower abs, or reverse). And even though this video doesn't include the chest lift, it contains some good exercises for undulations...which was the point, right? Besides, maybe the words for bellyroll and undulation are the same in Spanish...I dunno.

In any case, what beautiful abdominal control!

i agree that it looks like what we call a belly roll.
but my 1st teacher used undulations to teach belly rolls
and my second teacher (nothing wrong with the first, she's just 3 1/2 hours away ^_^) mentioned how hard undulations were. having learned belly rolls first, (before i started classes) i'd always found them fairly easy.
i think the two are more connected than we might think of them as.

Many dancers emphasize the full body undulation (or camel or roll up/down) with a belly roll layered on top.

I agree... although if you stricktly look at muscle movement... (via suhaila method) it's upper back upper abs, lower abs( rolling up to down) . well for most people that lower abs part is really the middle. I think for a true 'belly roll' persay you have to engage the lower low abs.

Other than that I think one is an exageration of the other to get a more pronounced effect, almost like a cheat to get a similar effect. But you do have to use the most of the same muscles.

my two cents, which aren't worth much I guess considering I can' really do a belly roll... more like blub blub blub.... insort of a nausating sea saw effect. =p

i totally second the "exageration/cheat" part
bellyroll = just the tummy area, undulations is the same movement but using the whole body

As other said, perhaps it is not a undulation, but I thank you for posting this. I have trouble doing belly rolls and this is wonderful practice. I actually did one finally.

I took several classes with the amazing Jill Parker while living in the Bay Area, and in one of her classes, she was teaching undulations, and included a belly roll with it. I think it looks amazing done like this!
