... before posting stuff that isn't related.

There are TONS of bellydance tribes on Tribe.net, but this one has a pretty specific purpose that is stated in the description above. I am seeing a LOT of stuff that has nothing to do with the names of bellydance movements.

Is wanting to learn new movements really that different from getting the names of movements figured out?

Same here.. I came to this tribe from a very different angle.. heard someone talk about the "duck walk" and somehow found this tribe entry when searching for that name.
Now I dont care for the NAME but for the mechanics. I would way more like to LEARN HOW they movement is done than agree on a name.. is that not under this tribe? the two are so closely connected I'd not see why to separate them!

There are a gazillion tribes here on tribe to discuss/ask questions about movement, and really, I don't recommend trying to learn bellydance on a text-based tribe. :)))

Jamil set this tribe up specifically as a place to figure out where a "maya" an "Up and Over" and "Reverse Taxim" could be called out as being the same movement so that all flavours of bellydancer (because we all taste SWeeeet! ;-))) would have common ground when discussing bellydance. All I am asking is for people to respect the list creator's wishes. If Jamil decides to change the mandate of the tribe, so be it. :)
