In our area...that move is called Lotus Hands, although I always had exception to that name, because there are so many 'Lotus Hands' out there already that are stationary hand postures.

i also learned that as lotus hands.
i learned a floreo as the flamenco move that looks like you're turning a little hour glass over and over and over. one teacher also called it "honey hands" as a visualization tool (told us floreo too, but i think honey hands stuck for most students) the idea is you're scraping honey out of the inside rim of the jar with your middle finger.

I am still a little confused...because when I break this move down, and even seperate it out...it's actually only one hand doing a floreo, and one hand doing a more what I would consider a very extended, pronounced wrist circle. When done with that hand as a more distinct figure eight, it seems to cause to much arm/forearm motion for the lotus hands move.

How would you all describe it? This move is always such a hard one to explain verbally, I am always looking for new ways to be able to convey how to do to other dancers in our group :)

I teach it as the heels of the thumbs rolling around each other.
