Re: What drew you to Veil dancing
Wed, November 5, 2008 - 7:32 PMI love the way the veil feels in my hands. The flow of the fabric, maybe it's 'cause I sew? I find veil dancing very relaxing and using a veil give me goose bumps at times. Once the veil was introducted to me, it's never been the same. I have lots of veils in many different colors. I have even made veils before I began to purchase silk veils, I *heart* silk veils. NOTHING MOVES LIKE SILK! Teaching veil dancing to my students is a must.

Re: What drew you to Veil dancing
Wed, November 5, 2008 - 7:44 PMAfter really thinking, I did not get much formal training in veil techinque.(I got very basic training) I did purchase a couple of instructional video tapes to work with, it has improved my skill level. My technique was self taught, but it just seems to work for me. I was intoxicated at the seminar show; when I saw Shira.dot.net do a double veil dance. It was just the flow of the fabric, it being an extension of her arms that drew me to the veils. Whenever I hear the song she danced to, it reminds me of her.
I have always loved veils. Double veil is at the top of my list. Veil dancing is liberating and gives me a sense of peace..
