Hi everyone,
I've discovered that I really like dancing with props. From Zills, Veils, Swords, ........
so now I'm interested in getting some dance fans. But I don't know where to start.
Would anyone have advice on where I could get a good quality pair of dance fans, for what is hopefully a cheap price?
Thanks so much in advance.

Re: Fan question?
Tue, February 26, 2008 - 5:33 PMYou can get the fighting fans from House of Rice on e-bay.
I am placing a group order for fan veils for a workshop in May. I think I will have 15 people order a set and the price would be $40 a pair. Most places they are $40 for ONE and $70 - 75 a set. Below is the link to order the fanveils. Mine were turquoise and purple...very nice.

Wed, February 27, 2008 - 12:40 AMI sell red, pink, and green dancing fans on my website. They make a nice sound when popping them open with a flick of your wrist. They are fun to dance with!

Re: Fan question?
Wed, February 27, 2008 - 8:57 AMThanks you, so much everyone for your helpful replies. I am looking for fans much like Anja's link provides, and will likely soon be placing an order. Though the link Pamela gave has some beautiful feather fans too. So many wants..... so little $, *laughs*. The fan-veils look lovely too...... intimidating for me right now though. Thank nyou so much everyone for your input. :) -

Re: Fan question?
Thu, February 28, 2008 - 8:42 AMMy favorite fans are from waydragon.stores.yahoo.net/soli...html. They are professional quality tai chi fans (they have the extra material on the end). I put my fans through hell, and these are the most durable ones I've used. They are also lightweight and thinner than most other fans of similar style (making them easy to handle-especially if you use them a lot--you don't want to torque your wrists). Good luck, and feel free to ask me anything about fans--I own ~60 fans and have used nearly every type you can think of. Different types of fans are suitable for different types of performance. -

Re: Fan question?
Tue, May 26, 2009 - 2:07 AMI just went to your site. It says they come in pairs... I am assuming that they are the Right and Left. I have not been able to find a trustworthy site to order a Right AND LEFT handed fan... the last thing I need is two right handed fans. I would like to get them before June 6th... Please tell me that you have what I am looking for. Please private message me.
Sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread... I am clearly becoming desperate. -

Re: Fan question?
Sun, July 5, 2009 - 9:14 AMI know this is probably too late for you, but you can turn a R handed fan into a L handed fan by removing the pin, reordering the staves, and replacing the pin. :)
I personally use all my fans as R handed so I am never surprised when I pick them up, but this is any easy way to change a R-handed set to one of each.
