I think it would be possible, but it will take a LOT of practice. For ideas, look up any websites that talk about contact juggling (also for additional suppliers of glowing orbs).

For some reason, I have an image in my head of one of the famous bellydance video queens (Suhaila? Princess Farhana? Other????) dancing or at least posting with a ball while in costume. But I can't seem to find anything at the moment. Perhaps someone else will have ideas.

I'm reminded of Rhythmic Dancing, that Olympian sport where gymnast/dancers have props. One of them is a ball. It would be interesting to see bellydance incorporate this prop - there's so much you could extend from it such as circular, roundish movements, spins, etc.
