the "Terrier Playnet Shop" on ebay
The prof. belly dance costumes are pretty cheap, even when you add up those $40 s&h charges (ship from Hong Kong).
Is this too good to be true?

Thu, May 22, 2008 - 3:51 PMHi Zana,
I have not bought one of the prof. BD costumes from them, but I did buy one of their flouncy salsa (gypsy) skirts last year. I just love it! It's made from that slinky black/blue/purple irridescent material. It has lots of flounce & twirl to it. I just looked on Ebay to see if I could send you a picture of it but they don't have any listed that really look like it. And even though I've worn it several times, I don't have a good picture either. I don't think I paid that much for shipping but I only bought the 1 skirt. Anyway, I had a good experience with them. I think I got my skirt within 2 weeks after paying for it.

Wed, May 28, 2008 - 10:45 PMAh, thank you.
Now, in looking at their items (this one here cgi.ebay.com/Light-Blue-....m153.l1262) it doesn't seem like it's good quality but for that price you could certainly fix it up when you got it. I looked at the close up pictures and the back of the bra straps aren't covered and it's clear it's just a regular bra that it's built on, I would say it would be a good beginner or hobby costume as is, but I would take the time to completely finish/cover it to be sure things don't fly off.
It looks like these are a lower quality version of the Necklemann's costumes which are made in Brazil, so plastic beads and sequins sewn on a lightweigh fabric base / bra. I would get one just to make a better more sturdy costume out of it, that's a pretty good price to pay for all that beading...
