Experimenting to see if they can get people to spend $30 on a $10 bra? They dodn't even take off the silly little bow in the middle! And I like how they then try to get you to buy one of their vests, and say yhtey are extremely limited supply.... nice. -

I then got a message here on tribe asking why I was bashing them...
when honestly, I had saw the bra, and thought they had made it by putting tights over a bra... was informed that you can buy them at walmart for $10, so I reported them. And posted on my etsy tribes about the "reconstructed" items. *bleh*
whatever.
Etsy is become corrupt almost like ebay. Letting people get away with all kinds of CRAPOLA! I'll still keep selling there, but they seem to be "backing out" of so many rules they themselves set. They dont do it on paper, but they do it by allowing it to continue happening after people have reported it.
I saw a pair of boots listed as "vintage" when I can go to the store and buy those boots, for half the price. I brought this to etsy's attention, and then they were "featured".... WTF? -

Just to play Devil's Advocate here, Etsy may not be corrupted. It's a Big Internet out there and maybe they just haven't had a chance to review your complaint yet. Or maybe they did but the vendor was able to explain their point of view to Etsy's satisfaction.
And the absolute bottom line is, this is a free market...if you don't like the stuff, don't shop there. Thank you for the heads up on the quality of the product sold, now as an individual it's on me to decide whether or not that company gets my hard earned money. -

Then there's how dishonest sellers fuck things up for the rest of us by making a more paranoid market that's less likely to open their wallets for fear of walking into a store and finding their awesome custom handmade item on a hanger for a third of the price.

I dont think its etsy itself thats corrupt but the stupid assholes out there who insist on trying to screw it up for everyone else!
For those of us who work painstakingly on our handmade creations, or scour shops and closets for beautiful vintage items to re-sell.
Bits and pieces of diy things that we need to purge out of our stash's at a decent price. and not be raped by fees on ebay.
My main issue with this item for sale (has since been removed) is that it was posted before, and they were told to remove it. Yet they posted it AGAIN.... ???? were they hoping that people would have forgotten that they saw it at walmart or target for 1/3 of the price?
