Re: indiaBazaar.net or mariajju.com...good seller?
Wed, March 26, 2008 - 11:15 AMIndiabazaar came through in a major crunch for me a long time ago; they got me twelve costumes an HOUR before my performance started! They really went above and beyond. I assume it's the same company, but I've heard conflicting reports about their customer service otherwise. The quality is fine as long as no one looks very closely; they worked out well for our troupe number. -

Wed, March 26, 2008 - 11:25 AMOh thank you for letting me know. I have a 25 yard skirt from another vendor that is similar to what you describe 'as long as no one looks very closely'...for the price of the indiabazaar skirt, 62, I think that may be ok, I paid 70 for the one I have and am not entirely satisfied with it.
Thank you.

Thu, March 27, 2008 - 2:21 PMI love my 25 yd skirt. I bought the skirt/half circle veil/choli set. I signed up as a vendor and ordered additional silk veils. I'm really happy with everything!

Re: indiaBazaar.net or mariajju.com...good seller?
Thu, March 27, 2008 - 3:35 PMI've ordered from them
the jewlery is bad quality (at least the stuff I got)
The fabric I ordered has grid lines in BRIGHT BLUE on green. and they WONT wash out. I've tried.
She tried to charge me an ADDITIONAL $40 on top of the $50 in shipping that I already had paid. I told her NO WAY. then when actual shipping was calculated, it came out to $34.
The veils I ordered were ok. Mine came with a HUGE tear in it, and she refused to refund part of my funds for it, because it is unuseable, and not fixable without being totaly noticeable.
Then, she was unable to come through on many of the items that she had on her site. And fought with me about giving a refund.
Learning experience.

Re: indiaBazaar.net or mariajju.com...good seller?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 5:39 AMI haven't bought from them. I seem to remember I was on the verge of payong out a shed load of money for a large wholesale order when I received an e-mail from them, offering single skirts for the price they were chearging me wholesale. They were having a sale, but still epecting me to pay the full wholesale price. So, by the time I had added customs duties I would have been selling at prices a lot higher than theirs. I would have looked greedy and expensive and been left with a load of unsold stock and my money tied up in it. I pointed this out to them and they could not see what the problem was, said it was up to them what they sold their products for. It is ,of course ,up to them but they won't get my trade. -

Re: indiaBazaar.net or mariajju.com...good seller?
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 10:43 AMWell, dang, conflicting reports, sigh...I was also looking at Magda's Apparel and Costuming, she has some too. I looked at the 2 ebay stores that were recommended and the one looked reasonably priced. Thank you guys for telling me your stories, it helps to do some research before buying. I only need 2 but still...it all adds up.
Thank you.

Re: indiaBazaar.net or mariajju.com...good seller?
Sun, April 27, 2008 - 9:18 PMYes, I'm quite sure I'm talking about your website. (generalize most people as she, unless I can see face to face that its a man)
I have communicated with you more than once on different subjects.
I wasnt 'perfectly' happy with the stuff I got. I am sharing information. I didnt say DONT buy from this person.
I didnt complain, because I had already complained enough.
There are tons of people happy with items from your website. I didnt think the hassle was worth the shipping costs, and then trying to get ADDITIONAL shipping costs, before items shipped was not ok with me.
so... yah...

I would prefer it if you took up your personal communications directly with and to the poster rather than get into any back and forths on the public forum. She is posting about her own experience which is encouraged but any arguing or negotiating back and forth should probably be done one to one and not here.
Then if she feels you have solved the matter in an acceptable manner, I am sure she would post that as well.
Thank you for your attention to this.
