I'm writing a review of Mohamed Shahin's lastest DVD entitled, 1- Raqs Arabia: Khaliji and Shaabi Instructional DVD

I ordered the video and three days later it arrived and I watched it the same day I opened it. I can't tell you the joy it brought to me.

Mohamed and Diana, Mohamed's dance partner/student, excecute each move exquisitely. It's filmed so you, the student can see how the same moves look on a male form and a female form.

I would say these videos are not for absoute beginners, but with time, the student will be able to incorprate the moves into their dance form as they grow and learn.

Several years ago I was lucky enough to be able to take a workshop from Mohamed Shahin and I was so impressed by his moves, his dedication to teaching and his stamina to dance for so long without getting winded. We learned some advanced choreographies and a lot of moves that required weight changes to keep the correct weight on the correct foot. One mess up and the student is lost.

All the moves are fast and the students require to have several years of previous dance experience under their belt, but once the student gets the move, it's the most wonderful feeling in the world.

I have all of Mohamed's DVDs released thus far and each of them are special. I love all of them and they really do speak to me and I've learned a lot from them, even some new moves!

I highly recommend all of them. I'm hooked.
