Some might call it sensitivity or just being persnickety but many of us are very particular about our trappings and ingestibles being just so. So... how do you like it?
1) Room Lighting
a) I prefer natural light or soft light but never shall the two mix in my presence.
2) Coffee
a) Aqua vitae... I prefer fairly unremarkable coffee grounds but when it comes to how it is dressed I am very particular. I like raw sugar in the cup with the coffee poured over it. Stir. Then add 1/4 cup of 2% milk. Stir again. Serve. I never measure for sugar or milk, it's just a rough estimate. Some days I get it perfect and I like that added element of surprise.
3) Alcohol/Wine
a) "It is never too early for wine and never too late for coffee." -Zay I prefer light alcohols unless engaging in something specific that requires heavier alcohols. I prefer Chianti and light reds. If I drink a heavier red I'll heat the wine and add a spoon or two of honey to it.
3) Teas
a) I don't like tea. I won't drink it unless I'm ill.
4) Bookshelf
a) I prefer my more frequently used books to be at eye level with the more rarely read books further towards the bottom shelves. I like to group them by category shelf by shelf. "Philosophy." "Classical Mediterranean." "Natural Sciences." "Biographies." "Martial Arts." "Folklore." "Gospel and Early Christian Studies." "Historic Occult." (etcetera) And of course at least three or four categories of gaming books.
5) Desk
a) Small pile of very frequently used books and CDs along with every type of pencil known to mankind and five different types of paper. Sketches and art reference images within view. Two drawers; one for paint and one for things baby fingers shouldn't touch. A six layer file rack and small end tabe to pick up the excess. (Table surface is positioned at a 30 degree angle.)
6) Food
a) Greek Vegetarian (eggs and seafood are ok). I eat lots of soy and veggies but I prefer them to be spiced; I like curries, peppers, and garlic. I love sushi but will only eat eel roll or California roll. I hate salmon.
7) Listening Music
a) Medieval music when I'm working; modern disco-pop type music when I'm working out.
8) Performance Music
a) Music with bite. I dance hard and I need music that can keep up with me. I used to prefer Turkish Folk and even Rebetika for dancing but now I've taken a major turn. I mostly dance to Raquy and the Cavemen or Corvus Corax lately.
9) Practice Wear (Dance)
a) I always, always wear athletic shoes. And I will generally be the only one wearing them at a workshop and the only one not complaining about my feet and back hurting. Yoga pants and a tank top with a built in sports bra do it just fine for me. I don't really use a hip scarf of any kind.
10) Performance Wear
a) No matter where I am dancing I will always be wearing a piece of history. Most of my jewelry is WWII era and has some sort of story. I like to connect my costumes with history and I always name my favorite costumes.
What else are you particular about?

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:09 AM1) Room Lighting – I splurge on very bright full-spectrum compact bulbs from a greenhouse supply store. It is like daylight in my house, which is a godsend in the wintertime, when I get terribly depressed due to Seasonal Affective Disorder. In the evenings, I prefer a regular light bulb in a floor lamp, which seems dim in comparison to my bright overhead lights. UNLESS I have a headache- which I get fairly regularly. Then I prefer very dimly lit rooms.
2) Coffee - Must be fresh. And with a dollop of milk, if it’s drip. Otherwise, I like lattes. And NO FLAVORINGS. Nothing is worse in coffee, IMO, than sugar or syrup. It ruins the taste for me.
3) Alcohol/Wine – only on occasion. I pretty much stick to either wine or cocktails made with vodka or rum- I like fruity cocktails.
4) Teas – Not much of a tea drinker. Sometimes in the summer I make herbal iced tea.
5) Bookshelf – OK, my bookshelf is arranged by color. Lol. I learned this from a feng shui home decorating book. I arrange books by color and size and separate them with knick-knacks in the same color schemes. While it might drive a librarian mad, it looks good!
6) Desk – A giant mess of receipts, books, jewelry, and bits/pieces of random stuff. It drives me batty and I am constantly tidying it up.
7) Food – Must be fresh. I hate leftovers that are over 1 day old. I am very persnickety about that, in fact. No meat other than fish and I won’t knowingly eat bottom fish or bivalve shellfish. I love breakfast foods and ethnic foods, especially Indian, Mexican, Chinese & Thai.
8) Listening Music – Soft rock, classic rock or modern bellydance stuff (like Beats Antique).
9) Performance Music – Techno (Maduro, Pentaphobe). Hard rock (NiN). Weird, random indie music I find online.
10) Practice Wear (Dance) – Yoga pants or homemade “Melos” and a tank top. Sometimes a hip scarf- never anything jingly.
11) Performance Wear – I like the Tribal Fusion silhouette, but I like to use colors instead of all black.
What else are you particular about?
Ummmmmm.....gonna have to think on that..... -

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:12 PMUmkay, I thought of a couple....
I don't display art in my home that has a face. The eyes creep me out. I don't even have photos displayed. Oh- one exception: a painting I did of a woman looking out a window, and her eyes are averted so they don't stare directly at you,
I have to have something sweet with my coffee each morning.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:47 AMHmm, what am I particular about ...
~ I love Cream of Rice cereal. It must be prepared with a couple of spoonfuls of brown sugar, hearty doses of cinnamon and cardamom, and a dash of soymilk. It's the first thing I want after I've been sick and unable to eat.
~ My office has two sets of lightbulbs -- nasty headachey fluorescents, and pleasant more natural bulbs. So I leave off the fluorescents (I have two windows which helps with lighting too), and have earned the nickname "Bat Girl" because it's so dim compared to the other offices around here.
~ My clothes are organized by type -- sweaters, long-sleeved shirts, short-sleeved shirts, tank tops. Melo pants get their own section. ;-)
~ Steak -- medium rare. But rarely. ;-)
~ My DVDs are alphabetized, but I suppose that's not particularly weird. My books aren't, but it's mainly because I've been too lazy to organize them coherently since we moved into our new apartment. Um. Eight months ago.
~ Everyday music -- I'll listen to most anything provided there's a healthy amount of talent somewhere. Bad lyrics are okay if the singer's really good. If the singer is mediocre but the guitarist is great, that's fine. Poignant lyrics can sometimes save an otherwise bad song. My problem with indie music is that it's often a case of the Emperor's New Talent -- the singers often screech some awful crap over overly-simplistic guitar + drums, and wow it's so great that they refuse to sell out to The Man, but oh hey has anyone noticed they really pretty much suck?
~ I only like peas cooked with sour cream, pepper, and lemon juice. No one else likes them this way. Sigh.
~ I try to use only healthy, natural, organic, and mostly funky-chemical-free food and body products.
~ I check the same websites in the same order every morning before I actually settle in to work. -

Re: How Do You Like It?
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 1:33 PMhow do you like it?
1) Room Lighting
a) Dark is great. Natural, soft, or dim light is okay. I like being out in the sun, but I can't stand bright artificial light - instant migraine.
2) Coffee
a) Don't like the taste of coffee, and even when I hide it in a mocha or something, it doesn't like me back. Tea is better for me, but I prefer raspberry (herbal) tea
3) Alcohol/Wine
a) I don't care for the taste, except for a few wines, two types of German beers, and an old-fashioned made with Mount Royal light. Because a little affects me a lot, I tend to avoid drinking in social situations, and keep it for distancing myself from extreme stress or from dealing with a bunch of difficult people.
3) Teas
a) Certain herbal teas, like raspberry, are good. I like mild non-fruit-flavored black teas.
4) Bookshelf
a) Loosely categorized by subject and size.
5) Desk
a) Drafting table with laptop and other computer items.
6) Food
a) Vegetarian for the most part - occasionally I'll eat fish. I hate milk.
7) Listening Music
a) Depends. A lot of my work uses music of the Baroque and Rococo eras, but I also like ME and North African drumming. Flamenco and tango music is good too. Oh, and hard rock/heavy metal - that part of the 80s girl in me will not die. :)
8) Performance Music
a) Helm. And Vivaldi. And a lot of other stuff.
9) Practice Wear (Dance)
a) Pantaloons, hipscarf, choli, zils.
10) Performance Wear
a) Haven't, yet, but I have a full ATS costume I'll use at my first hafla in June. I'd like to create a fusion between a baroque dance costume with that for my other stuff, but I'm not that far.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:50 AMAnother persnickety quirk of mine... I refuse to drink milk if it's been out for more than 60 seconds. I like it as cold as I can get it without there being ice cubes in it.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 1:38 PMI like darkness. candlelight and shadows are preferable. I don't like natural light inside the house; it turns the colors flat.
I hate white walls in my residence. Hate with a passion.
I hate linoleum.
Don't like plastic accessories in bathroom or kitchen, like those plastic hangy downy things that hold paper towels, or plastic cupholders in the WC attached to the wall.
Don't like fuzzy slipcovers anywhere on toilet.
I dislike residences that don't have a pleasant smell, and I don't mean two tons of floral air freshener. Nice potpourri or incense are fine.
I have to cut labels out of most of my clothes because they itch the hell out of me. I don't mean just cut off the dangly part; I mean completely remove every trace of tag.
Cannot stand blaring televisions.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 1:42 PMOh, and I hate "cutesy", like bath mats shaped like big feet, or decorating motifs that involve teddy bears or little bolls of cotton or wooden ducks painted the shade of grey-blue you see on the edge of your screen.
A student was carrying a preppy handbag (like peach canvas with kelly green straps and her initials in yellow) that was cute, in a preppy way, until I noticed that it also had a bible verse embroidered on it. That annoyed me. (I'd be equally annoyed if it were from the Koran, etc.). Just seems to cheapen religious beliefs.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 11:21 PMI like natural light, and have splurged on some full spectrum bulbs because I have bad Seasonal Affective Disorder in the winter months. However, I don't want it TOO bright. I like dimmers and candlelight. Florescent light is evil and is not allowed in my house.
Coffee? I don't have it often (because I found out the hard way that caffeine addiction is painful, ie rebound migraines), but I like good quality coffee (Gevalia is yummy) with milk and sugar. No french roast..bleh!
Alcohol/Wine
Not much of a drinker, but I when I do I like foo-foo girly sweet drinks like mudslides and mimosas.
Tea
I love tea..hot tea..iced tea..herbal tea..it's all good. Especially mint.
Bookshelves
I group my books by subject and like to have the ones I use the most easily accessible. My Afro-Caribbean religions books are right above my monitor, and to my right is the shelf unit designated for Occult Studies. I also have what I call a "Junk Drawer" shelf on the bottom of the unit that has all the fiction in it. That's where all the stuff goes that I only have one or two books of..odds and ends.
Desk
*laughs* A mess. Piles of bills, my digital camera's instruction book, a tape measure, my FDHBD flask, a pretty curvy bottle where my incense lives, batteries, lotion, eyedrops, cat statue, some art postcards (Maria Magdalena Compos-Pons), some earrings, and at least 4 pens. I tend to straighten and clean it once a week or so but it just clutters right up again.
Food
I like my steak rare. I like my vegetables tender or crisp, but not mushy. Some foods are just bad textures and I will not eat them, like peas, bananas, okra, beets, radishes, alfalfa sprouts and some varieties of apples (too grainy).
Listening music
The Cure, Siouxsie, Tori Amos, Mediaeval Baebes, Bauhaus, Bjork, Dresden Dolls, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Loreena McKennitt, Depeche Mode, the Cramps, the Ramones, Velvet Underground, Ministry (old), My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, and a bunch of cheesy 80's stuff and more..
Dancing music
Solace, Dead Can Dance, Ruben Van Rompaey, Parliament Funkadelic (I dance all around my house to this), Prince. I also dance to a bunch of the above. Haven't performed in a loooooooong time and probably won't for a while 'cause I need to get my butt into a class before my dvds bore me to death.
Practice wear
Some form of yoga pants and a top, with a non-jingly hipscarf. I like being able to hear my instructor.:) I prefer to dance barefoot because my balance is too precarious in shoes.
Clothes
I want my clothes to be comfortable..no scratchy tags, no scratchy fabric, and not tight fitting. I'm one of those really hard to fit people clothes wise, so anything fitted just won't work right on me because of my a) huge chest, b) extremely short waist, c) junk in the trunk, and d) miniature height (5ft). I won't wear pantyhose because it is an invention of the devil. (I know that that's hard to believe when I don't believe in the devil, but whatever). I also won't wear dresses EXCEPT for tribal skirts because, well, they're also cool fun toys to swish around while you wear them (Yes, I'm easily amused;). Oh yeah, and I wear black. A lot. Because I like it, and because hey, I never have to match anything when I reach in the closet.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 4:41 AMI am particular about everything. Everything. Would that it were not so. I'm trying to loosen up!
Room lighting: Candlelight.
Coffee: Black.
Tea: Yes, please. In any form except sweetened. Some faves are rooibos and hibiscus.
Alcohol: Red wine, good Scotch.
Bookshelf: Most books I get from the library. The ones I keep are sorted into either poetry or prose.
Food: Fresh, organic, spicy, lots of garlic and onion, lots of leafy greens, lots of noodles, dumplings, rice. I heart carbs.
Listening music: Right now, Gogol Bordello and Luminescent Orchestrii.
Performing music: Anything that strikes my fancy. Dying to choreograph AC/DC's "Back in Black."
Performance wear: I seem to have a similar build to Kali's (5 feet tall, hourglass, shortwaisted), and I like clothes that fit snugly. Otherwise I look like I'm smuggling cantaloupes under my clothes. Also, all my clothes are either black, white, or red. And I just bought the red and white ones for ceremonial purposes.
Practice wear:
OMG, Kali, we seem to have similar shapes (I'm also 5 ft., full hourglass shape, shortwaisted), and everything in my closet is either black, white, or red. And I just bought the red stuff for ceremonial purposes. -

Re: How Do You Like It?
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 7:54 AM
1) Room Lighting
a) Depends what I'm doing. I like a lot of natural light during the day and prefer warm color walls that add to the warm feeling. Not too picky though.
2) Coffee
a) 3 spoons of sugar, stir (easier to stir when there's more room in the cup), then add milk.
3) Alcohol/Wine
a) Usually wine or champagne. Happy with good liqueurs as well. Used to be a big tequila girl...now only very occasionally. I only have more than one glass of something when I'm with close friends or family (people I trust)...and I don't trust many people.
3) Teas
a) Australian (by way of Brisith convicts) shows in this one: Black tea- steep 5 minutes. 3 spoons of sugar, stir, add milk. I think really I like sugar that's flavored with tea or coffee. Herbal tea- I drink it rarely- with honey.
4) Bookshelf
a) Several bookshelves around the house divided by category. Fiction/fantasy (in bedroom), fashion history (multiple shelves, rather full) in living room, dance and Pilates shelves also in living room, large picture books (atlases, art work, makeup etc) at top of stairs, home projects etc also there; history, travel, random non-fiction. Graphic novels are in the guest room, foreign language and reference in the office....We have more, but I'm happy right now with my butt planted in a chair. :)
5) Desk
a) Oh dear. My husband and I have side by side desks. We can work together, share things with each other etc. He however is OCD neat and I'm clean BUT a person who organizes by piles. My desk is covered with papers, CDs, DVDs and books. His is usually neat as a pin.
6) Food
a) Lacto-ovo vegetarian. Lots of salads, legumes whole grains etc. But also with a strong sweet tooth, so not always healthy. :) I prefer real, fresh ethnic food over 70's style hippie vegetarian.
7) Listening Music
a) Dancing music...and 80s (Depeche Mode!) and stuff I used to dance to. Relaxing (reading, sleeping) music- Dead Can Dance, Mandalay, Frou Frou, Vas, and more...
8) Performance Music
a) I started out Dead Can Dance, Apoptygma Berserk, Wolfsheim etc. Went through Solace and other fusiony sounds. Now, as I dance full time, I dance to what the audience responds to. Here we have a large ethnic population and the market responds to traditional and current Arabic, Turkish and Indian (depending upon audience of course). They want a taste of home from the perspective of artists who understand it the same way they do.
9) Practice Wear (Dance)
a) barefoot, flooring allowing. I have shoes with me in case it's something too rough. I have happy feet and back- but then again I have a teacher who'll smack your ass if you're arching. ;) Workout pants, not too flared- as whether I'm teaching or taking, my legs need to be seen. Sleeveless top (hate sweaty armpits in clothes). Rarely wear a hip scarf when taking. Sometimes do when teaching. I NEVER wear a noisy hip scarf to a workshop. I think it's rude as what the teacher has to say is MUCH more important than jingling at my hips.
10) Performance Wear
a) This is also dictated by audience. Around here the ethnic audiences expect high end Egyptian (or Turkish) for belly dance, folkloric for folklore and real, sparkly Indian for Bollywood Mujra. I can't wear pastels, so I don't. Based on my previous wardrobe I started out always choosing black, but quickly learned that it doesn't pick up in low lighting for performance. I have learned to embrace rich colors and high contrasts. FIT is of utmost importance. VEILS- silk! SWORD- real! ZILLS - tuned, not tinny! I have a nice collection of vintage chokers that I wear to perform in- but wear cheap, simple earrings. My hair wraps around little bits and then gets torn out, so that's bad. And I've lost earrings in active full shows on a number or occasions- so don't want to lose expensive ones.
What else are you particular about?
11) The Grocery Cart
a) Delicate things such as produce, eggs and bread in the kiddie seat. Everything else separated by where it goes in the kitchen/house. It just saves time. Non-food items with other non-food items.
12) The Dishwasher
a) Silverware handle up as it's much easier to grab that way and you don't have to worry about poking yourself. Once again- it's just faster and easier.
13) Hair
a) I finally found a method that works for my hair. Naturally curly hair (literally grew up with a strawberry blond fro) and some really awful hair experiences were traumatic when people just didn't know how to deal with it. www.amazon.com/Curly-Girl...pd_bbs_sr_1 this book pretty much explains it all. I use a combination of DevaCurl and Ouidad products. Get my hair cut CurlyGirl method (NOT "long layers" that American stylists usually do)...and I haven't used shampoo in my hair since September. I cleanse it, but not with shampoo.
14) Skincare
a) sunscreen, every day.
15) Water
a) I prefer room temperature or slightly cooler. My husband prefers ice cold. -

Tue, May 6, 2008 - 9:35 PM"Otherwise I look like I'm smuggling cantaloupes under my clothes."
LOL
*looks down at "the girls"* Not quite cantaloupes, but close.;)
I'll wear red as long as it's a blue red..any orangey-red makes me look just awful. And white...I went to beauty school and had to wear white for well over a year so I'm still recovering on that one.:)

Re: How Do You Like It?
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 10:03 AM1).Room Lighting
a). I like semi-dark so I let the sunlight filter in through the blinds during the day. Other than that I can go for some normal soft light. Really as long as I'm not in the dark, I'm good.
2). Coffee
a). Dark and sweet as hell. I prefer sweeten condensed milk over regular milk or cream, a trick I picked up in my Jamaica travels.
3). Alcohol/Wine
a). Yes, please. Prefer red wine and I drink pretty much anything but for hanging out purposes beer is the norm. A warmed up snifter of Grand Marnier is a lovely treat that I occasionally indulge in.
4). Tea
a). It can only be hot (I feel the same about coffee). I live in Florida and the fact that I don't indulge in iced tea stuns alot of the southerners, though I can't call myself a purist; I put lots of honey and sugar in mine.
5). Bookshelf
a). I use an old bar that my family bought in Italy. The rest of my book are in storage bins until I get my own place and can have a proper bookshelf and then I might consider putting them in alphabetical order.
6). Desk
a). *snort* Friggin' mess. My FDHB flask, a mini-idol, various knick-knacks and books and comics.
7). Food
a). I'm so particular about food. I like my food as raw as possible. Steak, rare. Oysters, raw. I could live off of sushi. If it simply must be cooked for safety purposes then I can deal, though it can't be overly cooked. Asian cuisine is a favorite of mine. I'm considered strange because I have no love for Mexican or Italian food. It's very difficult for me to eat truly cold foods (such as ice cream) or cold beverages. The cold hurts me if I'm not careful and a glass of ice water will take me forever to drink, I'm better off with room temperature.
8). Listening Music
a). I enjoy strange, more experimental music. The sadder sounding the better. Coco Rosie, Antony And The Johnsons, Beirut, etc.
9). Performing Music
a). Clever music with a beat will always get me moving. I have been feeling the Cirque Noveau vibe as of late and have been experimenting with that. I'm really still finding my way.
10). Quirks
a). Hate, hate, HATE the feeling of cardboard. I can deal with holding a cardboard box but the sound and feeling of the cardboard flaps rubbing against each other upon opening is almost unbearable for me. Having to get food supplies out of the walk-in fridge at work is an exercise in willpower. Strangely enough, lightly biting on my nails alleviates the massive shudder that racks through me.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 10:44 AM1. Room Lighting.
I am an artist and I read a lot, oh and my eyes are going, so half the time I can't see. So lots of light, natural light, spots, at a pinch flourescents. I hate badly lit rooms, I hate not beind able to find stuff and I hate squinting.
2. Coffee
Euchhhhh How can you guys drink that stuff. Now maybe in a tiramisu...
3. Wine/ Alchohol
ouch, my head still hurts from last night. Champagne when someone else is buying it, nice wine, red white rose, its all good, but not cheap nasty chardonnay. Rum, white, dark, red, spiced all good too, especially Dark and Stormys (goslings black rum and ginger beer) or Mount Gay and Ting. Mojitos. Argh must be the sailor in me.
4. Tea.
I think I am the only English person who never touches the stuff. If I have to be polite, or I am thirsty and its all thats on offer, black, no sugar, maybe a squeeze of lemon.
5. Bookshelf
The only reason I wish I lived ashore. Room for a bookshelf, and all the books I ever loved. As it is I have 6ft of book shelf, and its crammed. Necessity demands organization by size. Apart from that, all wedged in happily together. Also books on the bedside shelf, on the boyfreinds side of the bed when hes not here, book in lockers, books in boxes in store room. Mostly books get read and have to go back to the book swap for a new book, but there are some I just can not let go. On the boyfreinds side of the bed right now, Origins, Irvin Stone, a biography of Charles Darwin, World Cruising Routes, Jimmy Cornell, The Pink carnation (a crappy historical novel based on the scarlet pimpernell) Aqua Erotica (well as I said the boyfreinds away) Australian womens weekly Indian Cookbook, Caribbean Culinaria, and Color Caligraphy. On my desk in my gallery, Andy Goldsworthy, Good Poems for Hard times, and the Superyacht guide.
6.Desk
On my Gallery Desk
Box ox mat cutting stuff, rotary trimmer, 3 passion fruit, piles of cards, printed and not printed, 15 limited edition prints to be collected, off spray for the mossies note books for the last few months
fairly tidy
On my chart table
checks to be mailed, box of pencils (empty), invoice for laundry, letter to be replied to, switch I removed and forgot to replace, hammer, chisel, sockets, screw, nuts, all leftover from jobs I meant to finish, flashlight, mailing tube, grinding disk from painting bilges, needle and thread from sewing elastics for zills, photo of boyfreind, gift certificate for massage (three years old), ana d under it all chart, so's I know where I am
not tidy at all
7. food
Yes, please.
Especially Icecream, foie gras, cheese, all cheese, mmmmm, cheese
Fresh veggies
8. music
please no rock, no rock and roll, no punk, and am I the only one who hates the indigos choice in music at least half the time.
apart from that take it or leave it. I really like peace and quite. Birds, wind, waves.
9. performance music
what you mean like dance in public, um, no thanks
10. practice wear, bikini top/ sports bra, black yoga pants, annoying jangly scarf so i know if I am moving the right bits. There are only 6 in my class and jangly scarves are encouraged.
11. performance wear

What else am I particular about
1. The dishes getting done after dinner. No you can't leave them til the morning they stink (boyfreind has no sense of smell
2. Put the stove lighter back where you got it
3. Ditto the flash light, infact put everything back where you got it, so when it all goes wrong I can find the damn flashlight, screwdriver, plug for the hole etc -

Re: How Do You Like It?
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:43 AMCoffee--gives me a headache and bad breath. I do occasionally drink a hazlenut latte
alcohol--bone dry chardonnay please, or a gin and tonic or martini
food--love spicy food--Cajun, Indian, Middle Eastern
tea--I wish i liked it more than i do. I like the concept of tea, and I like to drink it sometimes. Japanese Matcha and Sencha are really good, with milk and sugar
books--on the bookshelves, hidden in cabinets, stacked on the floor, in boxes in the garage
Oh, my sheets must be high thread count and my towels must be oversized and thick.
Bath products= Asquith & Somerset, Vicky's secret, or bath and body works (really cheap stuff makes me have an allergic reaction on my crotch)
Stuff to sleep in--high quality satin or silk or super soft cotton, please
face care stuff *must* be Murad or Indian stuff like turmeric soap and mitti multani powder or food (oatmeal/honey/milk face mask)(otherwise I break out in cystic acne that leaves scars)
music-middle eastern percussion, stuff like Solace and Azam Ali and Gypsy Caravan, goth stuff like Faith and Disease, industrial (as long as it isn't too nut-buster or thrash or death metal) like Stromkern. Mostly I listen to middle eastern and middle eastern fusion stuff.

Re: How Do You Like It?
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 12:04 AM1) Room Lighting
a) Natural light. I also like my rooms a bit dimmer than seems to be the norm.
2) Coffee
a) Absent.
3) Alcohol/Wine
a) Had to bring myself to touch alcohol at all. I might take a sip of something sweet: plum wine, cream liquor, or a cocktail.
3) Teas
a) This is my Aqua Vitae. A cupful of sugar with just a hint of Earl Grey tea.
4) Bookshelf
a) Disorganised. Let them fall where they may, I can always remember where I put them.
5) Desk
a) One for the computer and writing stuff, one for the messy things like painting, glueing, sewing and airbrush.
6) Food
a) Spicy and with lots of honey. No meat other than fowl, although pork may substitute in a pinch.
7) Listening Music
a) Industrial or something perverse like Sopor Aeternus and the Ensemble of Shadows.
8) Performance Music
a) Music with bite... yes, I can subscribe to that. And it needs to have a complex rhythm. I´d be the perfect drum solo candidate, except I don´t like to shimmy. I also like my audience off-balance, so I like to mix some unexpected turns in.
9) Practice Wear (Dance)
a) Barefoot. My dance pants are slit down the sides, and I wear a tight top. I might wear a belt or something when demonstrating, to help visualise hip movements.
10) Performance Wear
a) Armoured. I have my costumes hand-crafted from hardened leather by my bf. I also like to have bits of dead animals - bones or teeth - somewhere. From my Tribal days I retain a faible for Afghan jewellery.
My costume also needs to be dark in colour as to provide contrast with my whitish skin and make layerings more visible.
I fit the footwear to the occasion, and I can dance barefoot as well as in military boots (which is my favourite footwear when performing on uneven ground). -

Wed, May 21, 2008 - 1:19 PM*claps hands* I'm HOME! I would threaten to hang myself every time my cousins wanted me in on a game of Monopoly. I have to struggle in one real life with money and abodes, why play that blasted game?
