Bitgannin Kidaho

I just received the Exotic Balady CD in the mail from Maqam. I'm fascinated by the sound of one of the tracks, "Bitgannin Kidaho." Does anyone have a translation? Or any idea what the song is about?

    I remember this song.
    bithannin= it drives crazy
    kidaho= like that

    bitgannin kidaho= that way drives [me] crazy = that drives me crazy

    I recall the lyrics go something like: I move to the left, you move to the left, I move to the right, you move to the right. I go this way, then you go this way. i go that way, then you go that way.... It drives me ,it drives me .. it drives me crazy!!!
    enjoy it!

    I got this on you tube(its the second song)

    Bitgannin Kidaho- She drives [me/us/everyone] mad [by doing/acting] like this!

    Ive had a look and heres a quick translation -Ive skipped some phrases and the rest are probably full of errors! HA HA AH AH AH H HAH ;)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Her eyes drive [me/us/everyone] mad
    I asked for a glimpse [but] she said xxxx

    mad.. mad.. mad..Ive become MAD!

    Are the pretty ones because they are pretty they do THIS ?

    Are the cute ones because they are cute they say THIS ?

    like this ..like this ..like this......[may]GOD forgive the one I'm thinking of !

    (The bellydancer)- Slowly ,love me slowly,
    Im just like you [hence] my eyes are calling you
    Slowly ,love me slowly
    Im just like you [hence] my spirit is calling you
    Ive settled [down].xxxx but look Ive got a..xxx
    ..drive slowly.drive slowly...
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    If you think about it O' Mr goodman [you will realise that] it's not strange
    x2
    but for me to persevere and [then in the end] you gobble [eat it all] NO WAY MAMA'S BOY!

    When Yasmina Ramzy taught a choreography to this, she had her drummer Suleiman Warwar translate and some of the lyrics included comparing the woman to a ghazal, much of what the other person said....and there is the section where they're going "la la la la la la" - that's no no no no no obviously.

    But there's one part that sounds like "stupa stupa stupa stupa stup faraaaah!" - Suleiman blushed and said "she's saying basically um slow down slow down slow down, oops you're in..." <--- which sounded really naughty to me so actually I've been afraid to dance to it even though I totally dig it!

    and another funny thing was after we learned this song, I went out to my local restaurant/nightclub and as I was leaving, one of the guys said to me "Bitgannen". I was like "whoooooaaa." I totally understood it, but of course I had no appropriate response.

      Yep got that too!

      "But there's one part that sounds like "stupa stupa stupa stupa stup faraaaah!" - Suleiman blushed and said "she's saying basically um slow down slow down slow down, oops you're in..."

      ... and then she yells out in "frustration" (aka the big O)

      No way I'd dance this one for the general public! Might be fun in front of other dancers at a hafla or something, though.
