make sure you're comfortable in your costume, whatever you end up wearing! and practise in it a few times!

maybe try performing your solo i nfront of a friend or amily member just to get used to having 'eyes' on you?! strangley i find it harder dancing just in front of my boyf than i do in front of a room full of people!

try not to get hung up on remembering your solo to the count, i know for your first one, this is a comfort, to have a choreography, but if you forget a bit it throws you & it can show - but everyone will be supportive so just keep smiling & have a few 'safe moves' to fall back on to fill the gap until you pick up your routine again when you hear the bit i nthe music.

and the hardest thing i think - try not to look down to the floor and try to look like you're enjoying it! smiles are infectious, so smile at someone - catch your friends eye contact & it will make you feel loads better to see her smiling back at you!

good luck, it does get easier but i still get butterflies and I've performed lots of solos!
